They say 3-5 working days but usually the payment would go in on a Monday if you were awarded Wednesday. What words did the text say? They send out 2 different messages.

We’ve decided your child qualifies, don’t contact us we will send you a letter if you haven’t had a letter in two weeks time then call us

Then it should be in your bank Monday unless they was late making the payment on the Wednesday.

I hope you won’t have to do a MR after this long wait! It would be totally wrong of them if they was to look at the care side of it if you only ticked mobility, unless they get the original form up to look at the care side? Surely Monday has got to be your day for a decision.

I have a gut feeling that is the way its going to go, just from seeing everyone else's, they don't seem to be approving many.
I'm hoping I get an answer this week, it will be 31 weeks on Wednesday, 7 months! The last one I did was 5 years ago for care and nothing has changed, it isn't due to renewal for another 3 years, I did fill the sleep section in because that has gotten worse, I'm just so anxious about it all

I am thinking the same now tbh, my ds is 13 but got his asd diasnosis and a month later we found out he is epileptic :-( he currwntly gets mrc and lrm but he cant shower alone, i have to watch for any of the types of seizures he has, and have camera that alerts me during night :-( if he does to toilet i have to be awake and make sure he stays awake ... most 13yr olds can go out alone but my son cant, and we have to take folder and emergency meds where ever he is :-(

I work that out to be HRC and LRM, congratulations, I can’t believe how quick new claims are, I’m nearly 28 weeks for a coc 😞

Yh mine is 3 days after yours probably looking at early/late November to be with decision maker it’s just crazy how long they make you wait to possibly be turnt down, I mean mine is only for LRM but it’s just the waiting it’s insane

Mine was a straight decline! That’s what makes my wait feel so much worse, especially when the evidence didn’t get read or looked through

bumpy22 · 19/10/2025 13:25

Thankyou.
it is fast. My other daughter’s claim took bang on 6 months. im sorry you’re having to wait so long :(

Jenni20 · 19/10/2025 15:48

i sent forms 19th August and scan date was 22nd August. I haven’t heard a peep atall. No letter, no text. They’ve definite received it though because I called to see if they had received extra evidence. September new claims are being done aren’t they so now I’m worrying it’s a decline!! I hate this wait.

bumpy22 · 19/10/2025 16:20

That’s weird! I sent mine tracked but also have received a text and letter saying we’re looking at the claim x

@Irongirl71

I called yesterday and was told still in a holding que and not to call back until 25 weeks as thats probably when it will get done.

I dont care though il ring back in a couple of weeks if i havent heard anything.

Im ringing every week. But wait times for new claims aren't 25 weeks. Whenever they tell me that I ask them why claims in August and September are being done. So it cant be 25 weeks. They go really quiet!!. Hopefully we are soon xx

Im hoping its not much longer. But i have no hope its going to be anytime soon. I hope yours is soon as your scan date is well before mine. But ive seen loads of september get done now too!

Obviously i know ours is different as its twins and go in a completely different holding que.

I also get a feeling that the twins will be turned down as we are waiting on a couple of reports. And i only had a letter from gp, speech and language initial assessment reports and referals to occupational therapy etc. They are waiting on reports from paediatrics and physical therapy. Just really hope its not going to be a decline. As myself and my husband had to both quit our jobs to care for our children. As we have 4 with autism (twins is suspected and wont diagnose until 4) and three of our 5 children have ADHD and multiple other health issues.

NC - forms requested 23/07, scan date 04/09. Back pay received today - calculates to 12 weeks MRC.
6 weeks from scan date to back pay hitting bank.

I've got the same scan date I hope I hear something soon x

Your situation is similar to mine. My 7 yr old is Autistic and ADHD one of the 1set of twins is Autistic and ADHD and the twins I've applied for are also suspected ADHD they have their referal sent already. They are all non verbal. I sent inclusion reports from the senco a copy of their 2 yr old review. And their referral letters for Speech and language and OT. Also one twin is at a 9 month age the other one is like an 18 month age.

Did you get someone to complete the section in the form. I got the nursery manager to complete it. I also sent a sleep diary. But when I applied for my daughter they only awarded it from when she turned 3. So I have it in my head that maybe they will want until they are 3 to give me a decision.

You have plenty of evidence. For my son i only sent the inclusion report I had nothing else abd he hot awarded high rate care.

Couldn't edit my current twins I've applied are on the pathway for Autism and ADHD . But they won't do the ADHD assessment until they turn 6.

Yeah you definitely are similar to me. My oldest is nine she is diagnosed with autism and combined ADHD. She has also got global developmental delay and has a developmental age of 3/4. Shes also dyslexic, dysbraxic and has severe anxiety. My second daughter has ADHD and is by far my worst for violent behaviour and unpredictable behaviour. She also has chrons disease, severe Asthma, hip displacement and is extremely vindictive.
My third is autistic/ADHD but her care needs are no way near the other four so i am not applying for her.
Twins are both non-verbal one twin is at 9 months and the other is at 12 months developmentally. All my children except third one do not sleep. Honestly cant remember the last time i had a solid two hours sleep. I made sure i sent sleep diaries too. I also sent Food diaries and day to day care diaries for both of them as they need a hell of a lot of care.

Its really hard having so many children who are neurodiverse. I am a trained SENCO and it did not prepare me at all.

I didnt as i didnt have anyone at the time to do it. Also the twins are not in a nursery yet, they will be starting in January. We are waiting for an inclusion officer to help us get the right support for them as they are not stable walkers, they cant feed themselves, cant do anything for themselves and are not able to tell you there wants and needs so hopefully all the support will be in place for January.
The SENCO at my children's school is useless. She took 2 years to do a ADHD referal for my second daughter. She does not understand ADHD or Autism at all.

Nope still waiting i will be 28 weeks on Tuesday and then it will be half term until im 30 weeks so hopefully it will go quicker with the kids at home. You would think if a child needs hrc and hrm then their needs are high enough for a longer award.

I know! In the decision makers notes it says 'awarded to 5th birthday to review night time needs' and doesnt mention review of mobility, so dunno if that means theyll not look at the mobility aspect then or not
