4/5/6 of March COC found out yesterday, they decision was made sun / mon. They don’t usually let COC go over 30 weeks so you should hear this week sometime

LizzieLoulabell · 01/10/2025 07:08

Friend of mine just had a NC awarded10 weeks from her SD. I’m still waiting COC 17.3

Curlycookie5 · 01/10/2025 07:56

@LizzieLoulabell @Lissac86 have you joined the new thread? The link is above, this one will end soon. It’s looking like 10/3 - 19/3 is still waiting for COC but are being done by 30 weeks so hopefully not much longer for you both 🤞

A payment went into our account today, so it looks like my daughter has been awarded DLA. How does it work with back pay? I called to get the form sent to us, and sent it back before the deadline, but the scan date was a few days after the deadline. It looks like the only we have been sent covers the period since the form was scanned only (although we haven't received a letter yet so it's not possible to tell exactly). My understanding was that if it is approved that you should be back dated to when you first called to request the form?

What was your scan date and the amount? It may be that because it was scanned after the deadline they are doing it from the scan date

Thanks, the scan date was 7th August. It was sent in before the deadline by a few days. Having looked at the numbers I think they have just paid from the scan date, so I will give them a call once we have received the letter.

If you've got proof you posted it before the deadline you might be able to dispute it

I’ve just had a new claim processed in 8 weeks! Had a letter when they received my application to say it would be up to 18 weeks! But when I checked my bank today I’ve got a pending transaction! Hoping it’s not all some huge mistake 😅

Sd nc around 25th July (would have to look back on here as didn't make a note after I d added it on here)
Received text today to say "we ve decided your child qualifies for dla"
Complex health needs following brain cancer with mobility, pituitary, processing delays, ataxia, hemiplegia. 1:1 at all times in school. Age 13
Really expected would takes ages given likely needed to speak with medical team but surprised through so soon.
Hoping for hrm mrc but likely gonna get mrc lrm based on some of the decisions lately especially if they haven't sought input from health or clinical decision makers.
Will call tomorrow.
Really hoping we don't have to do MR :(

Sadly the only proof we would have would be when the envelope went through any machines whilst being processed by Royal Mail. We just put it in the post box thinking it had enough time to arrive and therefore didn't need anything else 😞

We will wait and see what the letter says and then go from there.

SD 19/5 NC .. 20 weeks today … still waiting for the decision… 😳 is it normal.. because I saw so many posts getting decisions within 10 weeks of their claim.

I can't believe you still haven't had a decision. There's claims that have been awarded from the end of August. There should be a link to the new thread if you scroll. This one is almost full
