MR SC 22/04

still so long to go 😩

Bossingit67 · 31/08/2025 07:20

MR SD 13/02. Hoping no more than a few weeks wait now!

Lolipop27 · 31/08/2025 07:51

NC SD 23/6. 10 weeks tomorrow so hoping its not much longer as I've seen claims come through for mid June this week

ellierose99 · 31/08/2025 07:54

NC SD 04/06 fingers crossed this is my last thread🤞

cringeywed · 31/08/2025 08:06

Is the date they receive the claim classed as your scan date? I can’t remember for the life of me! Also I’ve seen on FB that some new claims are surprisingly quick! When I did my daughters it was closer to 20 weeks but from what I can see it seems quicker than that for some people?

Itmustbe · 31/08/2025 08:16

NC
SD 1st august (or 31st july) can't remember what they said when I called.
Son is 13 but needs 1:1 supervision at all times, has hemiplegia ataxia and extremely low processing speed since brain cancer. Has prescribed wheelchair, walking stick and orthotics. 4th nerve palsy (eyes) and just been diagnosed with pituitary dysfunction (daily injections of growth hormone and testosterone will start in 4 months). Has an EHCP for 1:1 in learning and at all times for mobility as is very unsteady high risk falls.

I forgot to include his blue badge - should I send this in as extra evidence, didn't think til I read others' posts,
Is it worth me sending in updates re pituitary issues ? Takes around 20 minutes each evening at bed time, but has monitoring due to side effects and on top of fatigue from cerebellar mutism and treatment, lack of growth hormone and testosterone also add to this. He's on a low dose to start as has already had high brain pressure and they are being careful.

MR scan date 12.02, over 28 weeks and still no word, not even sure if it's worth calling anymore 🙄 anyone else around that date heard back yet?

I’m waiting on an MR at the moment and I’ve noticed that new claims seem to be a good few weeks quicker at the moment. When I applied in September 24 it was on average about 18-20 weeks for new claim!

13/02 for me. I called on Wednesday (will probably call again Wednesday next week too!) and it definetly wasn’t with a decision maker. The lady on the phone said she saw 8th feb date being done so it shouldn’t be too much longer …!

@HeartyGuide Thank you for the new thread

Lisamtxx · 31/08/2025 09:25

MR 26/03 still haven’t heard anything rang on Friday and said no time scale

NC scan date 16/6
Think I’m in for another long wait

Mumofthree1989 · 31/08/2025 09:31

COC 12/05. I’ll be here a while lol

Mum2x4boys · 31/08/2025 09:49

Hi coc sd 24/2 responding to the last message on the old thread not sure if this is fact but I think they are giving longer award dates because of the time it’s taking for renewals, by the time people are getting there awards it’s nearly time for renewals, it would be a good idea if they are, I imagine its only going to get longer I sent for mine just after Christmas and now I’m looking at Christmas again by the time it’s dealt with crazy lol

Winglessvulture · 31/08/2025 10:03

NC SD 07/08. The text we received advised a 25 week wait window, is that about right at the moment? I know these things are dynamic but just curious if that is what people are generally experiencing.

Daryl54 · 31/08/2025 10:05

Hi everyone scan date 4th April for a
mr phoned other day said they can’t give me a time scale as they are behind xx

Thank you, it’s crazy the amount of time we spend waiting for a decision from Dla. A longer award would make so much more sense and get the wait times down. I hope you hear a decision soon, good luck

I'm 10 week tomorrow, been awarded today. So not too long

Jenni20 · 31/08/2025 12:14

i submitted a NC on 19th August. I didn’t receive any texts last time for my other claim. And can’t remember how long it was until I received my letter.

brc13 · 31/08/2025 12:52

COC 06/05 almost 17 weeks, they seem to be doing coc a little faster so hopefully hear sometime in October🤞🏽X

Meglee93 · 31/08/2025 13:23

MR 07/02, hoping I'll hear something in the next week or two! Son was awarded middle rate care but I think he should be getting high rate as I have to sleep in the room next to his bed as he gets up and does dangerous things about 7 times a night, he's been prescribed melatonin but I heard sometimes that goes against getting high rate x
