Iv just rang its finally with a decision maker! Fingers crossed we get an answer soon

We are 28 weeks + 6 today!

Surely we have to have a decision (hopefully positive) this week?

Looks like I'm in for another 3 weeks at least then given others dates!

Post your passports? What? Surely they can’t expect you to send in that type of documents! They could have told you all this a long time ago instead of making you wait all this time.

Excatly iv stood my ground and said no so iv just been job centre and had them photocopies ans stamped and verified now I need to post it all with bank statement tenancy agreement Bill marriage certificate lol

Excatly they had this form since the 15th July just sitting there didn't bother ringing me and saying oh can u do originals

Been following thread since I applied ( I’m so impatient) thought I would add my experience so far. So my little girl 6yrs old shows many signs of PDA but still waiting on diagnosis , behind on motor skills, social skills etc.

1. I messed my paper work up will filling out forms . My mum had just passed and I had no idea what I was doing ( was desperate). Not enough info and also it’s hard to put down things you just do automatically.
2. I put my NI number on all evidence I sent in 1st so was lost until I applied for the MR ( not one person I called while waiting could be bothered to find it ( was scanned in and added to my claim that I hadn’t even applied for).
3. I called many times crying ( I’m desperate we live on £600 per month, my little girl has an obsession with food and completely refuses to walk ) only to be told evidence can take a long time to be scanned and still not with DM that was a few days before the decline.
4. Declined day before my B/day cried and sulked and decided I wouldn’t try again
5. Changed my mind and applied for MR as I know people who receive HRC and Mobility which really shouldn’t have been awarded ( if you can BS the professionals you get it ) not only am I jealous but frustrated as I see many declines on this thread which probably should have been awarded. So now currently 15wks into MR and I’m itching to call but know it’s pointless. I should find out today if EHCP as been approved (fingers crossed) will call with update if so. I have to say since I have sent in extra evidence with my daughter‘s ID number it was sent second class singed for . They received it the next day and then it was scanned onto the system the day after. which means it was only two days before they actually got my evidence also noticed when I called they answer the phone straight away definitely a better experience this time so I’m hoping it will go in my little girl’s favour if not I’m definitely going to tribunal. Sorry for the long post feeling frustrated today and still have a long wait. Hopefully this will also help with what not to do .

You did the right thing, I wouldn’t be sending my passports to them incase they got lost. I hope they have pre made the decision for you and they are only waiting for this information. Still a very long time that could have been prevented.

Excatly as they won't be replacing it if.it got lost ill be sending all my stuff tomorrow I cant physically send any more if they want it I.dont have it lol

NC scan date 12/06

DLA have been in touch twice so far to ask for my sons deed poll document and birth certificate, both have been sent off and received by them. This is after they lost my original forms in February (initially called 22nd January) so I’m hoping not much longer to wait now🫣

phoned and still not with a decision maker. Anyone else with the same sort of scan date as me and still waiting or been awarded? The wait is driving me wild.

I've just called, mines not with a DM yet & just told me to keep waiting & it shouldn't be much longer.

Ah this sounds abit like mine in terms of losing orignial form. NC scan date 19/6/25.
Original form sent back in Feb after calling in Jan but they said never reached them when I called in May for update. They sent new forms out in May to be back by 18/6/25. Posted back to them 1/6/25. They sent me a message 19/6/25 to say that had received and that there was a 25 week wait time. Called and they said as scanned on 19/6 they would only class claim from that date as classed as "late" by 24 hours. Have sent loads more evidence since then and today sent a supporting statement from mental health neurodiversity team.

That's what she said to me on Friday it shouldn't be much longer then today its with dm so hopefully its the same for you

When I claimed for my other child about a year ago I called one day… it was with DM… next week called for update .. it was not with a DM.. (?!!) then about 2 days later got a text to say they had been awarded! I would take what they say on the phone with a pinch of salt, in my experience anyway!

This is pretty much exact same as me! Called 22/01, completed forms and returned 12/02. Received my sons deed poll back in the post, but no letter regarding claim etc. Called 02/05, to be told they couldn’t find my forms but could see my sons deed poll..told me to submit another claim and explain that the original forms had been “lost” and it will be backdated to me originally calling in January so fingers crossed. My 2nd lot of forms had to be returned 13/06, scan date is 12/06 so hopefully now they have the documents it won’t take much longer.
Such a kick in the teeth knowing if the original forms hadn’t been lost we’d probably have a decision by now🥲I have emailed my local MO about all the waiting etc though, as them losing all of my child’s medical information, nursery information etc is a HUGE breach of data protection, then the waiting times on top are just ridiculous!
