Hey, just been on the phone to DLA option 4 who put me through to a decision maker because I’m over the time frame. He said that they are currently on MR’s from 31st January and because my scan date is 6th March it will be another 5-6 weeks before they even get to mine. Has anyone received there MR back that’s dated after 31st January as I feel he was just fobbing me off?

Meglee93 · 02/09/2025 10:09

Guys I'm not happy they've only backdated my high rate care from the MR scan date!!!! What do I do now??? They said I need to put in another MR??!

Bowcat10 · 02/09/2025 11:36

Hi all, I finally had a payment land in my bank account yesterday, COC 13/02
I'm thinking from the amount I received that my son has been put up to high care from medium and also awarded low mobility but I'm not 100% sure. I've had no contact from Dwp as of yet, does anyone know how long it takes to receive the award letter? Thanks in advance.

Turns out it was an error on their end, they have corrected it! How many days does it take for the backpay to hit your account? Also did you get your backpay from universal credit x

Hey hun I actually got a reply today I called them yesterday after posting on here and the man said he will put a note on the journal which he did and within an hour I got a reply from someone from service centre saying a decision will be made by the 7th Sept which I was happy about but today about 4.30pm I got 2 letters on the journal saying they have agreed to back payment nothing about how much or when but I guess as it was late in the date I should hear back next week x
Hopefully yours won’t be too long now review been completed x

Oh no how long did you get??
mine only got 2 years so yeah next July 2026 have to reapply - I called up and moaned and they put me through to someone and said if there hasn’t been any changes they wouldn’t change the decision and I didn’t need to an MR on this , it’s a case of just renewing it apparently will see!

I hope that is the case but keep evidence of appointments or nursery/school letters they will probably ask for these at renewal.
We was awarded until Oct 2027 I think they did it from her birthday as that’s when the LRM starts

I did say about evidence I said I won’t have anymore as we are now on a long 13 month wait and he said that was fine! He made it sound so easy so il see soon enough 😂

Meglee93 · 03/09/2025 11:28

@xxstac3yxx i called on Monday to say I have extra evidence to send in this week and I should receive more evidence next week and they said mine wasn’t with a dm but to send the first evidence to them next day delivery, which makes me think it’s possible close to going to a dm. The evidence I’m still waiting for she said to call before I send it because if it’s with the dm they can write a email to them saying what evidence I have to send in.

Thanks for the update, it does sound like it’s close to being with a dm! Still waiting for my sons physio to write a report up, but she said she would have it done by next week. Keep me updated :)

I have been keeping an eye on my bank because if they change the award it will show as pending the next day. If I haven’t heard anything by Monday I’m going to call unless my extra evidence comes before then. I would call them as soon as you receive it and say you’re sending it in and what type of evidence it is, it’s going to help your claim massive if they received that type of evidence in time.

Em1307 · 04/09/2025 12:06

Hi, quick question. What is the scan date?
We sent our claim on 07/07 and was trying to work out how much longer we would be waiting.
Rang today and they advised it is in processing and because of the volume of claims they cannot give us a wait time.
Thanks

Scan date is the date the forms are scanned into their systems
