I don’t get the child element for all 3 children only 2 Its just the disability element for all 3. The benefit cap is the total amount of benefits you are allowed to receive from uc, child benefits etc this gets lifted so you don’t have a cut off amount of benefits you receive.

Sorry to be a pain iv done form for a family member the person will.be 16 sept but nurse gave the forms for me to do in June the child has cancer will the wait time be the same im assuming by the time its looked at said child will.be 16 sept would I need to redo form.as pip or could they award her till.her 17th bday thank you

Im.tempted to ring i know last week.it was with dm buy i had to spend copy of my marriage certificate passport tenancy agreement and a bill lol so who knows good luck

Have u got proof of postage mine was signed for so I know knew they had it in March I didn't ring till June

This was the same, sent special so I can see it was received on the 13th. Just wasn’t sure if they’re meant to confirm receipt of it, they used to text but I’m going back a good few years!

Yeah I have my proof end.of March got a.letter april and nothing till last week with my passport info

does anyone know how long it takes once your children have been verified on uc for them to backdate it all? They’ve been verified today just wondering how long it will be. Also has anyone applied for carers allowance and how long does that take?

UC there is no time frame. Some people have waited months, some only a few weeks. Carers allowance generally takes at least 4 weeks

I actually reported the changes to uc on Friday, Monday they said they would verify my children’s details and did within a couple of hours, today (Tuesday) had a message saying they owe me 5 grand and it will be in my account in 3 days! Payments have been updated to what I will get going forward too.

so it was very quick for me.

That’s amazing! I updated Thursday- they verified my kids the same day and still not heard anything just it’s with a decision maker 😫 reckon i should call tomorrow? Or can they not do anything over the phone x

Just informed entitled to MRC and been backdated to SD 8/4
We requested form on 12/2 but then ended completing form on laptop.
I enclosed the requested form slip with claim. Should we have been backdated to 12/2?

Wondering if someone can advise! New claim - Scan date 09/04/25 so wasn’t expecting to hear anything until October sort of time.
checked my bank today and have had a sizeable credit from DLA! I can’t match this to any of the rates when backdated to the date of the forms and is more than I was expecting to get. Any idea how far behind a letter will be explaining everything?!

My daughters claim finishes in April 2026, when do I need to renew and how do I do please, many thanks
