Ring them and say you'll report them for a breech of GDPR if it isnt found as it has personal information on. They tend to find it pretty quickly when you do that

Thank you , what does GDPR stand for ? X

Yes it does. Dla reference number is the childs national insurance number that plus name and d.o.b. his identity could be stolen

Has anyone managed to get awarded hrm from physical needs ? My son is ASD ADHD and has a congenital heart condition , but he also has a rare hip condition to which is having surgery next month for , we have always had hrc and lrm but his hip issues have progressed and with up coming surgery we are hoping he qualifies for the hrm I just don't know if I've said enough in our renewal it's hard to know wether you e explained enough, we have a week till renewal so anything wouldn't get on the system in time the only thing I haven't been explicitly on is the exact distance he can travel before bad pain I've explained he's always in pain but it gets worse on exercise that he can walk a short distance but long distance needs a pushchair but I'm worried I should of been precise on meters he can walk

Hi, I rang for forms on the 25th Feb, scan date 4th April and I have just noticed that £2154.60 is waiting to hit my account on Tuesday. No idea what we have been awarded I am just mega chuffed she has been awarded something as it will make a big difference.

Hi yeah I sent a finalised EHCP night time diary a GP summery, letter from Peads and a IEP from nursery
I just hope it’s enough to get the decision changed! I’m the same really worried it may not be enough but just want to know either way now the waiting is so hard
Let me know how you get on when u call tomorrow x

So I got through after 1 HR and 20mins he said my youngest was awarded from 26th march till 19th march 2027 I updated UC and they said they will message me through journal once all my children are verified do you know how long this takes also will the benefit cap be backdated to his award date as I was told this by someone not sure if they will tho thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions x

It took a week for UC to verify my 3 children although I only made the change for one, heard nothing at all since though 🤷🏻‍♀️

ProudZebra · 20/07/2025 10:13

When everyone keeps saying the benefits cap will be lifted for UC what do they mean? Does it mean for a month where they were awarded £0 or does it mean if you have 3 kids but have only been getting UC for 2 because of the child cap?

ProudZebra · 20/07/2025 10:14

Sorry I know that didn’t make much sense but hopefully one of you clever lot can understand what I’m trying to ask 😂

Yes so if you have more than 2 kids on a UC claim you would only get payed for 2 but if there's a qualifying disability element then the benefit cap would be lifted and you start to get payed for all 3 if that makes sense x
