nc 3/12 just got declined 😔

TippieTappyTara · 14/04/2025 09:15

Well ladies today is the day the CM is working on my son MR 25weeks+ 2 days .... after the conversation with the dispute team I feel more at ease, I'm sorry for everyone who's still waiting for Mr result's and can only suggest talking to the dispute team again and hopefully getting somewhere... I was told to call back Wednesday so that's what I'm gonna do, I still can't believe it's taken a year ...1 decline and a MR just to wait for a decline or acceptance again ... fingers crossed I don't have to appeal cause I'm so overwhelmed with life at the moment I don't know if I'd have the energy to fight it.

I’m so sorry to hear this! Would you mind me asking your little one’s age and what evidence you sent? I’m close to getting mine looked at and nervous is an understatement

Tiredmum25 · 14/04/2025 09:18

So I’ve just called through and it’s with the decision maker… he checked and made sure they had all the reports extra stuff I sent a couple weeks back he said they would call me if they have any questions but it looked like they had enough evidence anyway. Fingers crossed I hear back this week he said I should get a text.

Mumof1xox · 14/04/2025 09:20

@LoudAquaViper she’s 9 years old I sent a ADHD diagnosis, a letter from the school and a personal statement explaining her needs in details but clearly that wasn’t enough.

intoFolklore · 14/04/2025 09:29

NC 12/12 , just called for an update and it's now with a decision maker - went to the DM on Friday. Gonna call back on Thursday at 18 weeks if I don't hear before then

MamatoB36 · 14/04/2025 09:38

NC 04/12 - just called for an update and been told the decision was made on the 7th April and we would receive a letter in the next few days. She wouldn’t tell me the decision but said the letter will explain everything. Am I right in assuming this is a decline as we haven’t received any payment or anything? Thanks in advance!

Daryl54 · 14/04/2025 09:41

@MamatoB36 phone back and press option 4 they should be able to tell you xx

Ahh good luck. Hopefully they don’t keep you waiting too long. I’m super tempted to call today now.

Hey. First time posting. So I applied for DLA for my daughter back in May 2024! She got rejected as ‘not enough evidence’ didn’t find that out till October 2024. I done a mandatory reconsideration and sent in 5 pages of evidence. Have filled forms out with school etc. Meanwhile I noticed a few more things so I sent that to them as well in like a diary form entry. We then had parents evening and her teacher said she wants her assessed for adhd/ autism and number dyslexia. So I also wrote that down and sent it to them. My older daughter now 12 has received DLA since she was 8, she is diagnosed adhd/ autistic and anxiety she receives high rate care low rate mobility. Anyway, I called every day last week still not with a decision maker, they had until last Thursday. I called again today the call handler told me that a descision has been made and that I need to wait for the letter that was posted out on Friday. He said he can’t tell me anything over the phone. So now I’m thinking has she been declined again 😩 it’s taken nearly a year now and I’m so fed up. Has anyone else’s claim taken this long ? How long until I receive the letter ? When I done my other daughters claim all them years ago it took around 6 months all in and she got accepted straight away ( she wasn’t diagnosed at that time either ) thank you for reading x

This happened to me with my son on Friday o asked to be out thru to someone who can see the decision and it was a decline.
currently waiting on outcome of my daughters NC currently with DM since Friday and still with them this morning.

I'd call back on option 4 and ask for details of the decision. If awarded the payment should have been received between Thursday and today but there's a chance it could be running late maybe

It’s so frustrating isn’t it! I’ve sent to much evidence in. My next step is to record her and send that to them on a sd card !!

Hi everyone, just a quick question! For the people that are getting calls about their claim or from a decision maker, do they call from a withheld number? Thanks

I've asked the same thing a couple of times as I got a couple of withheld calls last week but I don't answer private number calls 🤣 but unfortunately I cannot help as I didnt get an answer on here

Amirah007 · 14/04/2025 10:22

Hi,
Just to update you guys I called dla today, 1 of my sons have been awarded middle rate care and lower rate mobility. The call handler said they are making a decision and will be done in a few minutes and then the system was updated and he was able to give me the good news I was hoping for! So happy for my son. Now just have to wait for his twin brothers claim it's with the DM and should know by the end of this week to the beginning of next week.

Goodluck to everyone especially the beginning of December people!! My SD 13/12.

Jennx · 14/04/2025 10:25

Just called them again. She didn’t get awarded so now I’m guessing it’s an appeal process !! Anyone been successful with one of these ?

Iv tried to find what I can on google and it does say they’ll usually call from an 0800 number, I don’t answer withheld calls either😂 my scan date is 13/1 and I know a few people in January and quite a few in December are now getting their decision so I don’t want to miss the call if I get one!
