NC scan date 13/12. Mine also coming up to 18 weeks on Friday. Yep, I called last week and they also told me its in a queue. Hopefully we have good news soon x.

yeah I’ve been a anxious wreck all week seeing dates close to ours get their decisions. I was also nominated last week for a housing association house (I’ve been stuck in private) and I’ve been waiting for 8 years and the house I’m in now no longer meets my sons needs so now waiting for the results of that as to whether they are going to officially offer it to me or not. So much waiting around with no answers and so much in the air.

Aww. I understand what you mean, especially concerning housing as I'm in private rented as well applied for council but been refused. It's good you found the house that is good for your sons. Praying you get your acceptance award soon, so you can move into your home x.

letter rec 28/1 saying would be 15 weeks from then which would take us to middle of may
tommorrow will be week 18 from scan date of 11/12

I’ve applied for my daughter I contacted them last week to check they had received extra reports and referrals I had since I originally sent forms & evidence.
it was still in the queue and being looked at on Friday.
my sons was declined on Friday same NC but wasn’t expecting to get for him due to his age.

I just hope my daughter is awarded we have Cahms referral, Salt report, hospital letter, report from SEN teacher who also filled out her part of the forms I just added any forms school had for the referrals etc my daughter is waiting to be diagnosed with adhd/asd they have also tested her and she is dyslexic so all that is included by the school.

New claim, love. September seems so far away. And I still have to sort carers elements, carers allowance etc to afterwards.

Hey your my scan date twin! I called Friday too they said they still waiting and can take 25 weeks but we already on week 18… so stressful hopefully we hear back this week.

i only knew they were dealing with my sons claim on Friday as they called me to ask something but was later declined when I called to check… I then questioned about my daughters application and they said it was being looked at but could take up to 25 weeks It’s ridic…does seem they’re dealing with our scan dates around beg dec onward.

Usually if they call you they would have made the decision that day, sometimes it doesn’t go straight onto the system for the call handlers to tell you the same day. I would call back today to see if they made the decision. Good luck

NC can change so much over the year in wait times so I wouldn’t base it on the 25 weeks, it depends how many claims they have in each month. I’ve always found this forum helpful to know when it’s around our time to get a decision based on other people getting awarded and there scan dates. COC and MR on the other hand have always taken a lot longer. Carers allowance is usually straightforward, i received back pay from that and the claim starting in a week but uc is anyone’s guess.

@Curlycookie5 yes I know what you mean about same day as I called back and my son was declined the one who could see that said my daughters was srill being dealt with so hopefully il find out today or this week at least it’s driving me mad the waiting. I just wish there was a way they set it up so you could log in and see ourselves what stage it’s at and if with a DM would save them a lot of calls I reckon.

Is the backpay for carers allowance only 3 months? Or do they backpay from the same time as DLA claim?

😂 good luck, I’ve just seen in previous posts before that if they call you its because they are working on your case and need that final call to make there decision. I think half the time is the call handlers not looking. I have a long wait ahead COC 8/4 and a renewal that ends 12/7 😣

@Curlycookie5 Wishing you all the best I know how draining that can be my friend waited just up to 25weeks for her renewal earlier this year… fingers crossed for everyone today ok call and 9 and see if any update

Good luck, it will be interesting to see if they have made a decision on your renewal, a few seems to be done 3 weeks before it’s about to run out. Do you still have another payment before it runs out? The call handler told me it’s done after the last payment but according to this forum it’s not always that way.

Yep, 1 final payment tomorrow that's why I'm not calling today might aswell give it another day!

NC SD 18/02 Only just hitting the 8 week mark but following just to keep track of where they're up to. Seem to have gotten through November fairly quickly but I'm guessing back holidays will slow everything right back down again xx

The wait is so frustrating isn’t it. I feel awful for everyone waiting the full 25+ weeks though as well.

I’m waiting for 2 big life changing decisions at the same time now. It wouldn’t be so bad if they keep you updated on everything. I havnt heard a single thing from the housing association since the council rang me and said they are giving all my info over to them to do their final checks and officially offer me the property. And then not knowing with my sons DLA too and knowing that either one of them could be any day is driving me insane 🫣 I’m tempted to ring them both today I’ve spent all this week packing just to keep myself busy and yet I could still be in this house for another month or 2 yet 🤣

Not until 12/7, It was scanned 4/3, they will have it for 18 and a half weeks before it runs out. This forum seem the best place to come to work out when I should receive a decision 😂

Hey twinnie 😆 I’m constantly checking the threads the Facebook pages to see how long others are taking. And I’ve seen dates just before ours and also after. I agree hopefully we hear back this week 🤞🏻
