Ahh okay I was thinking it was declined already but maybe bit of a wait - I have gone down SMI route for my daughter she received high rate rate was 4 in January. We have EHCP and a lot of evidence as she has pvl brain damage. But yet they have declined it after the coc form back last year

Went down SMI route too, got LRM and in the notes not a single mention of SMI despite a 4 page document specifying his needs under SMI rules, totally ignored

MumofICA · 26/04/2025 21:59

Oh gosh really, sounds like we have no hope then! Did u have much evidence if you don’t mind me asking x

Any one else waiting for MR - scan date 16/12

I’m the week after you. The wait is awful and reading a lot of these posts im not feeling too confident that we will have our decision overturned 😔

EHCP
2 Clinic Paediatrician letters
SALT report
School Statement
Our 4 page document

Personally I just don't think it was looked at, so you may get a DM that does look correctly!

I'll be pursuing this all the way to a tribunal if I have too, I know my son is eligible

YourShyKhakiTiger · 27/04/2025 08:23

Hi am Mr my scan date is 3.12.24 still waiting yet I rang there said it's not with the dm let's see what happens.

Hey, I've filled out my form got some evidence I'm just waiting on the school to send a copy of IEP and doctors a copy of her asd referral. Should be around 6th/7th may that I will get them. I have until 24th May to return forms is this enough time? I'm panicking it's not. Thanks

I recommend sending the forms off now so your not waiting as long and then send the other evidence when you receive it

is that the only other evidence you’re waiting on? because if so i agree with @Babylipswifey, send in asap and then you can send more evidence later on❤️

It's pretty much all the evidence I have from professionals, so far I have a speech and language report from a year ago which ive just realised has a mistake it says she didnt start talking until 2 she was 3, sleep diary, aids and adaptations, list of sensory issues/likes dislikes. The school IEP is taking longer as they have a SLT coming to assess her again on 6th May so they want it to be current and accurate for me. And the doctors are taking ages to do my SARS request.

Hiii! I'd definitely send the forms off and then send all your extra evidence when you receive it, you don't have to send it all together if you don't have it all, you can send evidence in until it's expected to be with a dm! Good luck!

Can anyone help?

my child had adhd and the only evidence we have is a diagnosis letter.
school were the ones to pick it up and while in school does have some issues.
At home we don’t have much sleep, sleepwalking, and impulsivity.

but we don’t have a lot of input because we just get on with it, when diagnosed over a year ago we were promised classes and courses by Cahms but still waiting for a place…

I am worried without the outside evidence we won’t have a successful outcome?

can you get grandparents/neighbours anyone to write a statement as well? may help your case a little, also recommend sending a statement from
yourself and a sleep diary, anything from the school could also be valuable x

Whoistheeasterbunny · 27/04/2025 11:30

how would i go about getting LRM changed to HRM without evidence of anyone who sees my daughter's issues? she's now home educated. The main issues we have are impulsive feelings to run into traffic, having to restrain her a lot, refusal to walk without a balance bike to push herself along, refusal to get herself things from another room, having to constantly hold her hand, meltdowns if requested to go somewhere, feelings of anger in her legs (how she describes it). waiting on an adhd and asd referral. all the evidence i sent for her original claim was from school, early help and old nursery reports from when she was younger. she's six.

NC Scan date 14/01
Anyone else around this date heard anything yet? Getting worried we are going to be declined for our 13 year old severe anxiety, self harm and school refusal along with suspected asc/adhd
Evidence sent
Agreement of ehcp
Educational psychologist report
Salt report
School behaviour plan
Boxhall report

We now have a letter from paediatrician so don't know wether to send that and she has had a camhs appointment come for tomorrow

Haze87 · 27/04/2025 21:36

@Mummymarie5
This sounds like what my daughters claim , she’s 14 now home schooled due to the severity of the anxiety and self harming.
made a claim in July was declined and done a MR in January with added CAMHS refferal, appointment, safety plan & daily diary.
My daughter also has breathing issues so is under the cardiologist.
I’ve been told 25 weeks which will make it over a year since originally claim.
Good luck let me know your process 😊

Minnie83 · 27/04/2025 21:55

Same as my daughter, we was declined first time round. Luckily she was diagnosed whilst waiting on Mr so sent that evidence aswell.

LocoCoco13 · 27/04/2025 22:50

My 3 year old daughter was just awarded middle rate care no mobility. She is profoundly disabled and cannot walk at all and they've refused her mobility! I am utterly disgusted and disappointed 😞 how can they deny her mobility when she's unable to walk? Not to mention she has tonnes of night time care needs. We put in an MR God knows how long that's going to take. Original claim only took 6/7 weeks to get a decision

I had the same evidence for my 13 year old daughter and got LRM MRC first time. I knew she was entitled to HRC and once the EHCP came through I did an MR (it was 2 weeks after the decision was made) and we got it over turned. Don’t give up hope.
