DLA WAITING TIME THREAD 67

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

My COC sd is 8/11 so fingers crossed I hear something soon to

Was hoping not to be on this thread but still waiting for a decision. New claim scan date 29/10. 21 weeks and still counting.

Apparently its been with a decision maker since 6th March.

I wouldn’t hold your breath mine is 2nd October and still no decision haha! My last day is tomorrow apparently and they said my decision maker is on Annual leave!

What the hell?!? That’s ridiculous! The wait is horrendous. I feel for everybody in this position.

Had 2 days break from mumsnet cause I'm getting so stressed and we are already on a new thread 😅 MR SD 17/10/24. I think i will call tomorrow as I called last Thurs, keep checking the calendar and my bank currently on week 22 and nothing pending as of yet.

My LO got the same. Made me feel so crap and like I must not have explained his needs well enough. I also didn’t realise the ins and outs of what qualifies for higher. I’m sending in late evidence as he has night needs and is on melatonin to help him go to sleep but that has only been the last 2 weeks even though I have been asking paediatrician for help since October. I was awarded on the 13th of March and received payment on 19th of March. Mine said the same that his nights needs where the same as a normal children his age which they clearly aren’t that he is now on melatonin and I did call them the day the paediatrician said she was prescribing him it but took a week for the pharmacy to get the melatonin in so I didn’t have the evidence of it to send in🙈 Do a MR if you think your child deserves higher, I wish I done it right the first time and sent the an update of his sleep but a decision was made the day before I got his melatonin from the pharmacy😬 hopefully your child gets what they deserve if you do a MR🤞🏽

Nothing yet but not called since December to check everything had been received.
In Week 17. Will update if I hear anything.
Are payments only made on Tuesday for NC or can this be anytime during the week?

My COC scan date is 31/10/24 was told will hear by 5/4/25

Congratulations Hun, what a relief. They must of made a decision a few days ago for payment to be cleared. Glad the wait is over for you.
what evidence did you send hun? My little one is only 3 also x

I called last week I was told it won't go to a decision maker until week 25 then they can have it for a few weeks x

NC SD 21/11 Payment showing pending from DLA. Looks like new evidence wasn't needed, that was only received yesterday. Best of luck to everyone still waiting, I hope you all hear soon.

I sent a couple of reports from speech and language, his nursery support plan, a report from the area Senco, and his ehcp needs assessment acceptance letter. Really hope you get good news soon, it is a relief! x

Just spoke to dla by using option 4 and got straight though. New claim scan date 21/11 my son was awarded middle rate till 2026 I’m over the moon! Now I can finally get him the help he needs at pre school! Good luck to everyone I hope you find out soon! I didn’t have alot of evidence for my boy so wasn’t expecting to be awarded so I’m so pleased today.

Im the 22/11 so day after your sd. So hopefully by the end of the week im hoping a decision has been made. Although i called yesterday to ask she said no decision was made and she wouldnt even tell me if it was allocated to anyone yet 🙄. Im also with barclays who dont have the pending payment feature 🤣x

Fingers crossed you hear soon, hopefully you're not much further behind. I called on 19/03 and it wasn't allocated and the call handler said I'd have time to send in new evidence. That was only received yesterday afternoon so seems a decision may have been made 20 or 21 just after the call. Maybe call on Friday for an update and peace of mind? xx
