Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Does anyone know how long it takes UC to verify?

Sending my last bit of extra evidence off tomorrow so its just a waiting game then. I've probably got another 4-5 weeks left to wait judging by where they're up to on the Facebook pages

That's great, I'm hoping my son's will be with his claim soon. His old claim runs out on the 20th of April. They have wrote a note on the system that my son now has a diagnosis of autism. Are you waiting on a renewal aswell? X

No mimes a mandatory reconsideration I think there taking longer than renewals at the moment I'm on week 20 they've got till the 2nd of may to make a decsiciom my sons original runs out on the 20/08/25 so I'm hoping I get a mr decision before I have to renew how close to the end date to they give you x

Wasn't sure if it would be too soon for them to answer that question! But if the system was down over the weekend it may make a bit more sense, i may give a call tomorrow, this form was a nightmare to complete (we are aiming for HRC and HRM) so we really had to think about what we was writing and the evidence we needed to gather

Hi, I sent signed delivery on 12th March, which was accepted ( with a proof photo) on 14th by DLA. When I phoned on 17th March, they said they have not received it. I even got a letter asking to send it again.
But I heard today that it was scanned and attached to the application on 14th March.
So..if you phone next week like they suggested, it would be in the system like what happened to mine. ( fingers crossed) x

@StanleyParents Im not sure if the post handling site has a backlog of claims and additional evidence to scan but it's usually scanned within a week free post and 4 days recorded but obviously this can vary.. If you've sent it recorded they will definitely have it..
Have you gone for HRC HRM for your renewal or your New claim... As long as you've included all the evidence needed you just have to keep your fingers crossed don't you 💫

Looking for it with a renewal, my son was originally awarded MRC and LM without any any additional evidence because the process was so long we never tried to get more, but we've now included his EHCP, Pediatrician reports, IEP and a statement from his school, we didn't make a major fuss about his sleeping during the initial application but it's only got worse, he barely sleeps and can't be left unattended so we are hopeful!

Just phoned they made a decision but can’t tell me what!

Ive seen people say to call back and press option 4 on the last option babe and they will tell you x

Anyone know what nc dates they are up to on Facebook?

Is it acceptable to call twice in 1 day to see if a decision has been made?

I believe fb is pretty much in line with the dates on here.
seeing a lot of 18/19/20 of november currently.

just called and they said they have made a decision today and a letter has been sent in the post. She said she doesn’t have access to find out what the decision is and can’t put me through to anyone and I need to wait 7-14 for the letter. Does this sound like a decline? She didn’t say anything about a text. Feel worried sick now that it’s a decline and will have to wait another 25 weeks without my son getting a one to one at school 😩

Not necessarily a decline hun.
You can call back and on the last option select option 4 and they can tell you an outcome.
i hope its good news, keep us updated.
Im also 22/11 however yesterday i called and was told it was not yet with a Dm.

@GladMintPoster They are currently on Oct Nov and the first two weeks of December new claims... The claims are currently moving in 10 week cycles to clear the backlog and get wait times down since Christmas.. Hope this helps

Great thank you I will call them now! I also called yesterday and was told not with decision maker but today they made decision so might be worth you ringing them too just to see, fingers crossed 🤞

25/11 called today and my extra evidence I send at end of Feb has gone missing, but was told not to worry as claims taking full 25 weeks

I thought id give them a quick call, no decision yet, however i asked if it is with a dm yet and she told me they are not allowed to advise me with that information!!! Yet when i called 2 weeks ago i was advised it wasnt yet 🤣
