Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

I’ve seen of some of you with MRs after my date get a decision. Anyone else’s date around 2/10 does that normally mean a decline? I did call yesterday and no decision was made but they said there is a note to call me before any decision is made as I sent in late evidence that’s not yet been scanned on (or gone walk abouts) with new crucial info. They told me my 25 weeks is 26th March so that’s tomorrow… LOOSING THE WILLLLLL 😆

If I only got payment for 30.09 today, you're still in with a chance.

🤞🤞🤞 for your call, @PSO123!

Throwingitallaway24 · 25/03/2025 07:26

Really pleased to see so many people get awarded lately!! Anyone else in the early December gang? I still feel like ours will be a decline as my daughter is still so young. It just feels so wrong to me that a young child who has had multiple surgeries in her short life, with more to come and lives with a stoma (and all the complications that come with it!) may not be considered eligible for DLA.

Hello helpful thread that got me through my dla wait. My child now receives DLA MRC. If I do not work and if apply and get awarded carers allowance, will my tax free childcare stop or reduce in hours eg from 30 to 15 for 3-4year olds or stop altogether? My partner works and meets the other criteria for tax free childcare. We currently do not claim any other benefits other than DLA. Any help or pointers in the right direction appreciated. The website says ‘you may be able to…’ or says you must inform them but I want to make sure before making any decisions, thanks

Good news!

Woken to a back payment of almost £3k. So I think it's LRC and LRM (called for forms on 7 March last year!).

To think I almost didn't do an MR!

Congratulations 🥳

NC 23 weeks today! Pending payment in bank for tomorrow. So surprised, was convinced it was a decline as we’ve been waiting a lot longer than everyone else it seemed like.

Congratulations 🥳
