Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Yes you should claim it. It’s an additional £198 odd a month

It’s 30/9 NC .. just on phone but I have appointment at 12 so may not have enough time so will have to phone back x suspense killing me

Ohh that's after my scan date lol.im tempted to phone up but being on hold that long gives me bad anxiety incase they say decline x

I just see on fb a SD 17/09 that's my date to i see it and my heart fell out

I called yesterday to add a note and the lady said its 25 weeks so send it by post you've got time... I can't afford to send it if it won't be there in time and free post isn't an option with DLA I feel hear to many stories of things getting lost!

Just a quick update for you, back dated money went into my account today. Hope yours did too

I called on Monday and I was told it hasn’t even been looked at yet. I’m going to call them on Friday because I don’t think I can face the disappointment again so soon 😣

4/9 SC NC

caved and rang , to be told I've had a letter sent on Monday letter asking me to send assessment/diagnosis reports even though my son hasn't even been assessed yet . Been waiting since February 2023. And have only had initial information gathering telephone appointment in June last year . And stated this on his DLA claim form. 🤷🏽‍♀️.
They have also contacted the school via letter , for further back up evidence , hoping the school reply now within the time scale , as the 20 week wait has been long enough .

Pleased for all those children that have been awarded so far this week .

Called again this morning - got to keep on top of it. A decision was made yesterday however they can’t tell me what the decision was over the phone. Letter should be with me in 7-10 working days 🤞

scan date 12/09. Just rang and done option 4 instead, she was much nicer 😂 told me she can see it’s now with a decision maker but no decision has been made as of right now but they are currently looking at it. Good grief I feel sick 😂

Sd 30/08. Rand today. Still with decision maker. That's two weeks since they told me this. Omg how much longer now 😭😭

Crying through happy tears .. we got awarded I forgot to ask for how long as too emotional, life been so tough this will make huge difference …. Been so worried I’d not provided enough information but we got it
