Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Currently been waiting over 50 mins to get through to check if additional evidence has been scanned in yet. Don't know why I'm still waiting 😫

I caved in and called. Scan date 28/08 so wasn’t really expecting any news. The lady said it’s been allocated but no decision, does anyone know what that means?

my scan date is the 28th August, anyone else around this time who has had any update at all. Don’t want to call as I don’t trust anything they say

I got cut off a couple of times, got through straight away the last time I called but I have to do the MR selection so could be easier/quicker that route. Hope you get through and get some good news 🤞

28/8 same as you. It’s getting stressful now haha.

I caved in and called. SD 12/08. They said they sent a letter on the 18/12 but the call handler couldn't say if it's been rejected or approved because allegedly she can't see that information.

I'm not feeling too confident now, so will start getting ready for the fight to appeal.

Don't know why I bothered. They couldn't find my claim (in the past my child's name and DOB was enough) so used delivery tracking number. They've received it but it's still in envelope. Asked if there's any update to whether I'm any closer to a decision and she just kept repeating no no no it's still in envelope so no claim details. Last call handler was able to tell me that evidence hadn't been scanned and that there were no notes on claim but would think it should be looked at soon. Does it really take that long to scan evidence? The longer the wait the more I'm expecting a decline especially as my boy is only 2.

Sorry just seen your other post before I posted mine. I think it means it’s been passed to a dm now for a decision. Hopefully we will hear soon

I called this morning they said my claim is not with a DM. I called again 4pm and a decision has been made. My son is 16 (I put the claim in before he turned 16) he has autism. He has been awarded HRC and LRC. I’m so happy. This group has really helped me through the last few agonising weeks. I also learned that I can claim through UC for disabled child. Thank you all and I’m wishing you all the best on this difficult journey. Happy New Year ❤️

Aww congratulations to you and everyone else that has received good news recently. I'm the same scan date but based on last call they either haven't got a clue about anything coz the system is so outdated or my whole claim has somehow disappeared.

Hi been following for weeks now just got a txt saying daughter qualified so happy scan date 23/07 new claim thank you for all your support

Yeh I’ll do the same waiting on uc now they have verified my son lets see how long it takes to await the letter of back pay and then the backpay been received I reckon a few weeks lol x

You can call and ask for info on a current claim and see what you rates are if uts been awarded. The ladies on here should be able to tell you more x

I spoke to someone at the service centre rather than the usual call handlers. And she gave me the information. I think they know more. Don’t give up. A decision is not to far away. Hopefully by tomorrow.
