Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Thank you everyone! Honestly the lady was so nice she nearly cried with me.
at first she was like I can’t see anything on the system, I was like oh I’ve waited so long. Then she’s waited and said is your son getting HRM or just care, I was like just care I’ve done the reconsideration for mobility, then she was like I’m pleased to tell you that he now receives hrc and HRM. The way I cried😭😭😭

I would be crying too. The stress was worth it for your little boy. I don’t wish the wait and not knowing on anyone or having to convince a stranger of your child’s struggles.

When I called I said are you doing them in date order (knowing full well they don’t but wanted to see what they said) and she said no they are done by how complex they are. She said if you’ve sent enough evidence and it’s clear you meet the criteria it’s a quick decision but if there’s not enough evidence or the decision maker is unsure that’s what adding 4-5 weeks onto making a decision

Coc sd 16/7 with a DM. Will call this afternoon and hope a decision is made. Seems like they are wrapping these July ones up this week

See they told me it’s done strict date order, nothing about simple and complex claims. I know they will be looking for a way out of awarding ours a yes or no shouldn’t take 25 weeks as we’ve then got a big wait for court but I expect they would then change their minds 😂

NC SD 07/08/2024

The wait is driving me insane. I'm my 5 year olds carer & he can't settle at school so I'm home educating can't walk much so uses pram for every outing and has no sense of danger. I can't afford a disability pram for him and he's getting too big for toddler pram now. Just praying I hear something soon but I feel like they're going to turn us down. Don't know what I'll do.

He's undiagnosed been waiting so long

And I'm a single mum of 2 with no help from family so if we don't get this, UC will be sending me to work but I don't have anyone I can leave my kids with. So honestly I'm just so stressed ahaha
