Yes, when I made a complaint I knew the call handlers name and gave them the time of the call. Some of them aren’t keen on putting you through to a DM so you need to stress that you’ve been misinformed and want to speak to a DM to discuss. They are the ones that can tell you for a fact if it’s been assigned. Good luck

Thank you! I will definitely call back later and tell them I want to make a complaint! Further up this thread, the same thing happened to someone with the same scam date as me! Seems a bit suss xx

Decision still hasn’t been made! Had the most arrogant call handler on the phone who said don’t bother calling back until 25 weeks so rude

They told me not to call back until 25 weeks as well!

I said to him in quite within my rights to call when all your letters state 15 weeks and have done since I put the claim in. He said well that’s changed to 25 weeks now so I wouldn’t bother calling us back.

That’s so rude! If you look further up this thread, I’ve had my own drama with them this morning too!!

BlueDeea · 30/12/2024 10:10

Just been on the phone to them as well. I got a nice woman. She apologised for the length of time they are taking and told me 20 weeks. Me being on 19 shouldn’t be too long 🤔

I’ve just been reading that. It’s honestly so frustrating if they had been honest from the start and said 25 weeks I wouldn’t be bothered it’s more when they constantly change the goal post and clearly don’t do the forms in order either!

I would take that with a pinch of salt. I actually spoke to the decision maker before Xmas and mines still not sorted

😂😂 it became a routine almost and yes what to do now 😅 I bet they miss me as well 😂 we haven’t had back pay yet either. I’m hoping it’ll be tomorrow, he is due his regular DLA payment then anyway. X

I’ve had a message from uc to say they have verified my sons details so what happens with them now? And fingers crossed what date was yours processed x

SKB12 · 30/12/2024 10:03

Oh no! I’ve never been so happy to see letters drop through even if they turn out to be bills instead of DLA letter 😂 my son refuses too or walks off and refuses to come back or just won’t leave the house. He doesn’t seem to have particularly enjoyed Christmas which he usually does so that’s a shame too

my son didn’t open any presents this year. He went into complete meltdown because of the other kids presents in the living room. Once they finished opening theirs, I had to move them up to the bedroom in order for him to even come into the living room🤦🏽‍♀️

I am not taking what they say as a definite. Most claims still make it whithin 20 weeks though. I personally feel confident enough that they won’t delay our claim to contact anyone since all the professionals involved with my son provided evidence, but you never know…

SD 06/08
New claim
Woke up today with MRC paid into my bank.

I phoned just before Christmas at 20 weeks to be told the deadline had been extended to 25 weeks, that my claim hadn't even been looked at yet.

Over the flipping moon, MRC is what I was expecting. Turning 5 within the next few months so I'll have to do it all again as I think we should also get LRM so I might stick around. Thanks to everyone for sharing their update posts.

Aw Congratulations 🎉

I’m 22/8 - called this morning and not with DM even though when I called on 18/12/24 they told me it was! ☹️ hoping we don’t have too much longer to wait!!

Honestly don’t listen to what they say, I’m sure the call handlers say anything to get you of the phone. I’ve seen people phone and be told not with DM then get awarded that same day.

would be interesting to know how long a DM can spend on each claim

Couldn’t agree more!! I think all those with claims who were told 20 weeks should be dealt with in that time frame and claims after that to be dealt with in the 25 week bracket. The wait is just getting longer and longer for us ☹️

It is. What’s making me feel worse if it’s it’s declined etc then this process have to start all over again for a MR

BlueDeea · 30/12/2024 11:48

We are all really close dates. Hope we will all hear soon. Let’s keep eachother posted ☺️

Myboy2017 · 30/12/2024 11:56

SD 26/7 MR apparently it’s now with a DM. I was suppose to receive a phone call 3 weeks ago it never happened. Then was promised Xmas Eve …it never happened. Now it’s been passed to another manager to call me. Apparently the phone call has been passed on the disputes team as it’s a MR? Is this the norm for a phone call? 🤨

PipB94 · 30/12/2024 12:05

Have called back again!! Spoke to a lovely lady and passed me through to someone else. They apologised to me for the mistake and said some people are still training etc. I said I get that but they actually told me it was assigned!! Basically it’s in the queue to be assigned but nothing yet….im so disappointed!!
I just have a horrible feeling mine is going right to the 25 weeks mark 😭

Hopping on!

Scan date 13/09
Put in a COC form for my son ( turned 3 in December) hoping for HRM under VUW to go with existing award for MRC which is running til December 2029!

I feel I had enough solid evidence but the DLA facebook group gives me the absolute fear!

Also waiting on his blue badge which is a 15 week wait from our local council 🙃

Same SD as me!
