Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

I’ve seen a few people start their MR and had the decision over turned before they process the MR

They are lying. Several people have jumped the queue. I have called them on many occasions to ask them when I see dates as far as 2 months ahead getting decisions. They say they can’t discuss and aren’t aware but will flag with managers!

I’m going to call tomorrow regarding the 35 week wait for MRs. There was no mention of that just the usual 25 weeks when I called this morning. They cannot possibly think the letter we have here stating 11 weeks and then saying 35 is remotely ok. I’ve made a complaint already today about cases not being done in date order and waiting for a call from a DM which given wasn’t today should be tomorrow.

Is another thread going to be made? I would be lost without you guys right now

exactly I was told 25 weeks for a decision! But when asked why some only wait 18 weeks? Was told don’t follow any of the groups 😂

That’s so we will be none the wiser. I’ve had a DM telling me they follow a strict date order so it’s fair to everyone. I asked him why then are September MRs being awarded but mine is in August. He said he wasn’t aware of any being done from then! I have asked it to be flagged. Obviously I’m happy for children to get the awards they deserve but scan dates exist for a reason

Exactly this and others shouldn’t be put before people waiting months

Your ex isn't called Graham by any chance 😂 he's the only useful call handler anyone has spoken to. Your insight is awesome so thank you, it really does make sense re the decisions and the scripts they keep reading. I've been told that when it's a MR they will look at them faster if the person claiming has actually lost a previous reward, which may explain why some are looked at faster than others

Currently on month 8 since I logged my tribunal appeal..still no hearing date is beyond a joke anyone else the same or is it just my area that's taking so long #derby Mr decision made over a year ago so is such a long draining process and currently awaiting ehcp decision also 😅 so stressful hate waiting ✋️

she Was just rude in her responses with a proper shit attitude tbh. She couldn’t be arsed to speak at all, didn’t even give her name to begin with. I expect atleast a little something not basically a tone which states “f* off” you know what I mean😂😂

I’m always in a rush with the call since I call during busy times so I just want a quick answer at times but that’s just me. Yeah I get you

I am at the starting point of my tribunal. They have til 17th of December to respond.
Did you get a response within your 28 day period may I ask?
I'm so drained from previous two battles with them x

Oh god is such a long process and yes they did and still wouldn't change it but I have all the evidance to support it and they are saying won't accept all my evidance to support it so still waiting for tribunal but hoping they will take my side as I have everything to prove my case so stressing and good luck with yours hopefully you hear sooner like others feel like mines got lost somewhere lol x

I know they won't change their minds with mine neither and I'm set for tribunal with evidence proving the DM wrong. I have been told its a lengthy wait for tribunal. Waiting seems to be the only consistent thing in all of this.
Hopefully you hear something soon as I can't imagine how frustrating it is waiting 8 months in. I'll keep my fingers crossed it moves forward and you get the result you need x

I’m all for waiting my turn but they clearly aren’t making it that way. I find it strange that none of them are aware of dates outside of the month they’ve quoted have been done. See if I get a call tomorrow to discuss this and what they could do about it. Julys could’ve been done possibly if random ones from September and October weren’t slipping through

Refused may 18th. After 20 week wait. Put in MR 26 week wait. To be told to get school to send evidence in so I did.
Was told decision made 9th Dec. Tried to find out told wait for letter but guy said " I'm not suppose to say this but better days coming". NOPE!...... I RING UP ,again to be told no mobility award 😥 low rate mobility.
I'm sorry but I got mad at decision maker I said how with my adhd odd son did you get that decision. Hv u seen the evidence. I said I'm defo appealing this!

I get a call half an hour later. There so sly, man I got was horrible. He said oh iv realised that decision was made without school evidence!.
New decision to be made. ( I think he's going to take away 28 low care he just awarded!!!!!!! Iv been so up set 40 weeks from start to finish and I feel that they done it so I don't get a huge sum back pay.
My 7 year old son as adhd , odd, sensory needs he masks at school.
I'm a single mom and burnt out. He smashed my home up tonight. Iv been in tears . It's all so unfair 😪

They can say it politely. It says they expect their staff to be treated with respect, likewise we should be respected too. I believe I had the same girl yesterday, I was saying thank you bye when she cut the call. They might be stressed but so are the parents especially when they have exceeded their own timeframes

So sorry. I’m shocked they didn’t look at your evidence. I hope the new decision reflects your son’s needs and makes the long fight worth it x
