They tried telling me it’s special circumstances when I queried last time. Was like absolutely not, I checked to make sure first of course😂

Exactly what they’ve suggested to me which I told them there were no special circumstances then they said they can’t explain it and would flag to a manager

Chels2020 · 05/12/2024 07:35

Since last week. I chased on Monday and was told it will be with me then. Fast forward to today and I still don’t have it. Called him yesterday he said his colleague had done it and when he sees him he will get him to send it to me. When I call today I’m not going to be polite about it

Yeah that’s not good enough hopefully you get some where today? Is your claim waiting on this evidence aswell? I really hope school have been supportive I’m waiting on this letter and it might be like yours not worth nothing! Although the teacher did tell me she had to run in front of a moving bus as my son decided to leave all
his school stuff and phone on it 🙈🙈 he is very very forgetful I’ve also had attendance out to collect him 5 times in 2 weeks because he refuses to go and teachers have heard him whilst been on the phone to me asking where he is so fingers crossed but we’ll see xx

Do it 😂 I was speaking to a call handler few days ago and told him what the school is like. He said being a government company they find school are more helpful with them and they aren’t afraid to call them. It’s a shame as they could tell a DM so much about my son but my feeling about his teacher is that she won’t. They won’t have my support going forward if that’s the case

Teachers don’t like doing it! Because they tell them! Parents have kids 90% they only have them 10% of the time and they act different in school to when at home! That’s what one of my kids teacher told me a few years ago

No they aren’t waiting for it but it will give them an idea how he struggles with even a familiar journey that he’s been going on since year 7, he’s year 8 now. His chaperone tells me how upset he is and always miserable in the car or falling asleep. Hope your letter from school is detailed. If our school was coming out to get my son they would need to come out every day. Last 2 weeks he’s been in twice, attendance less than 20% he just can’t cope

I haven’t the school for anything they sent me a random very brief letter which I believe was for his blue badge application as they don’t even know I’m doing a MR. It’s cab company I’m chasing. My son is better behaved at home than at school for the most part he does not care how he behaves in school 🙃

MammaLBlue · 05/12/2024 09:31

Hi everyone I’m so confused I did a COC and got my decision a week and half ago they said they are keeping me at middle rate but I’ve just received £750 in my bank from them? As this happened to anyone else? Because I shouldn’t of got any back dated money when they didn’t change my rate

SKB12 · 05/12/2024 09:46

@Kc1999x same line they don’t know why am October one would’ve been done and may be special circumstances etc working on 9/11 at the moment you can’t be far off! Hasn’t been assigned blah

Hey, been following the chat for a few weeks. Our daughter was awarded MRC yesterday 04/12. We decided to call this morning. SD was 25/07. She is only 2y/o so no mobility award.

Keep the faith all. Your messages have kept me and my partner positive.

Have a great new year 🎊

Emat19833 · 05/12/2024 15:58

Spoke with case manager this afternoon has I'm at 20 weekd now...dm wanted sen report from school so got it myslef yesterday got to the offices 12.33pm today signed for tale 1 to 2 days to upload then once that done dm will make there descion so fingers crossed will be before they shut for Xmas break

Lolly966 · 05/12/2024 16:32

Hi.

My daughter already receives MRC care but she's turning 5 in Feb 2025 I was wondering when do you receive the mobility forms? As I do believe she's would be entitled to LRM she's under Physio and they've referred her to OT, she has no danger awareness and suffers with slot of pain with her legs peads also think she's got Hypermobilty. Also her renewal is up October 2025 so im wondering if I should hold out untill renewal or not?
Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

You're most welcome. I hope little ones surgery is a success and you all have an extra reason to celebrate at Christmas.
Just looking at the amount of professionals that she is cared for by I would say she should be entitled to HRC. She’s a bit too little yet to get mobility. Honestly, it can be a minefield. If anyone here can help you, I’m sure that they will. xx

Edited

Called today and we’ve been declined. Absolutely gutted, I could literally cry. Apparently she doesn’t need anymore help than an average child of her age..

Oh my god I’m so sorry. This is a real shock. Your daughter absolutely needs more help than another child of the same age. I know your mind probably isn’t on it right now but I absolutely would appeal. So sorry you’ve had someone callous and clueless on your daughter’s needs. x
