They put me through to service centre and told me who ever said it has been escalated wasn't true so she has now escalated it and told me if I don't hear by friday to call back 9 am so fingers crossed it will be donne by then

Goodness me just more of a waiting game, and too much back and forth. I will give them a call Friday if I haven't heard by then.

Fingers crossed we hear back ASAP.!

I’d get on with it today ask the achool
for a report and then just send it in the post to
dla ive always send evidence when applying before but this time they have asked for specific information from school so I’m not sure on the fastest way to do it I know someone who has send before said tracked next day is fastest I think but that costs but I will happily pay if it gets to them quicker just make sure you add your child’s dla references to every piece of evidence you send x the dm told
me as soon as she gets the evidence she will review it and make a decision for me x

SD for a renewal 28/8
Called me on the 28/11 because I had missed the question about traveling out of the country, so 15 weeks and still no outcome.

Hmjl2024 · 04/12/2024 15:53

Scan date 25/07 I’ve just called to ask if they could pop a note on to say that my daughter has been referred to a clinical psychologist and dietician. She said once I have evidence to send it in, but now I’m thinking it’s probably going to hold up my claim and god knows when I will receive the evidence as GP only requested yesterday. I’m so anxious I feel sick, my daughter has ARFID, PICA, potential ASD on the pathway, Epilepsy (controlled) and under incontinence team as still in pull ups. Under SEN plan with school but they aren’t helpful I know it’s all down to funding. I don’t know if I’ve sent enough but only time will tell. We are having to go private for ARFID treatment as NHS can’t help apparently because I live in Leeds. Funding been taken away for kids with ARFID but not adults. I know deep down she has enough care needs the PICA alone requires 24/7 supervision I can’t take my eyes off of her but you just don’t know if they feel I’ve evidenced it enough which I’m unsure of too as constantly second guessing myself.

It’s with a decision maker so I don’t know how long it will take to make a decision.

s39 · 04/12/2024 17:37

I feel like calling them makes no difference at all they just read out a script to you it leaves you so deflated! I’m just going to wait until they make a decision and let me know themselves 🙄

addies · 04/12/2024 17:41

I wish they had an online portal so that you could see the status of it all. See whether it's being processed or with a DM or whatever and enable you to upload documents / evidence etc. Would save a lot of calls and anxiety.

ChicEagle · 04/12/2024 17:46

I heard since it’s the Christmas season they’ll be on holiday and a few in office. Idk if they’ll do my claim on time. Call handler was like “everyone has families and they’ll need to prioritise themselves” like ok I understand but they should have kept that to themselves since it felt low-key dismissive and idgaf attitude and just really fake nice at the start which I’m good at picking up. They should be more caring and hopefully they have people working overtime so we can get the award we deserve.

SD 2/8 I rang today and I was told I'll have a decision just before Christmas which will be 20 weeks. I'll be 18 weeks on Friday. I'm sure he said I'll receive a text so at least I'm know when a decision has been made. Good luck to those waiting and congrats to those received today.
