Thank you for this, I made the change on my journal 25/11 & my 2 children were verified on the 26th & I haven’t heard anymore since
think I’ll use this info & make a complaint x

Congrats I’m presuming it was a good decision? Did you get a text or did you call? My scan date is 25/07 so hopefully I’m not too much longer. I’m so anxious I would really like to not have another weekend of worrying about the DLA.

Yes it was a good decision. Awarded middle rate care no mobility though for 1 year. Which is good but I’ll soon be doing renewals come march. I received a text message and then called and asked to be put through

I made my change on 7/11 verified on the 8/11 only one response and that was because I called. It’s the same as when I’ve had to do it before, ended up being sorted within 24 hours. Although I did read a few pages back that someone put in a complaint and it hasn’t been sorted yet so I’ll see how the rest of the week goes 😂 The guy on the phone said journal responses should only take 2-5 days.

@Carson2504 it’s great you got it sorted so quickly! It’s very unusual, I’ve been on these threads since the 20s. Congratulations!

I’ve seen it happen a few times where school haven’t been contacted yet DLA said they have contacted. It’s worth trying to speak to someone about it as if this is the case then they’ve declined under false evidence sort of things

That’s shocking. If school can write that they didn’t speak with DLA I don’t think it would even need to go to MR. I rather DM didn’t ring my sons school all they will say is he doesn’t attend and how bright he is, hadn’t had a baseline assessment since year 3 refuses to do his work, might show a glimpse but no chance he doesn’t have huge gaps in his learning! He said school was “ok” today and he cooked a burger by himself. It’s really such a positive 🥲

I believe that was me regarding the complaint to UC 😂 we’ve had another response (woke up to a fairly abrupt one), they have agreed that it can be backdated. 15/11 reported the change and took them until today to make a decision.

MrsWeaverTheBeaver · 03/12/2024 22:57

I sent my son's DLA application off and have just had a letter back asking for his birth certificate. When I went and checked the copy of the DLA I sent, I realised I put his DoB as 2024. Is my application going to be rejected because of my mistyping? Sending the birth certificate back now

And if it is a case of school lying I’d be taking that one a lot further

Well I’ve just gone through all the internet interactions stating him lashing out at others etc that I’ve had with the school and saved them. I’m going to print them off and send them in with everything else again and do MR because I hardly doubt I’m going to get to the bottom of it. Will be a case of people just passing blame. Does the MR if overruled get back dated to the date of the original SD?

Stillwaiting2 · 03/12/2024 23:12

Is there gonna be another thread/page for this as it gonna be full soon

Yes if MR is overturned it gets backdated to original scan date and so do all the other elements.

Another day...I check my bank every morning in case of back pay...I haven't received any texts throughout this process and I know it's so inconsistent who does and doesn't receive one so I'm not relying on that...and post at this time of year? Just sick of the wait as we all say every single day!

Just over a week. It wasn’t resolved as such, I just got a reply from a team leader.

👋🏻 I'm 'senior' here 🫣 Original scan date 22.11.2023 then after long 33 weeks of waiting got the decision on 18.06.2024 what doesn't make any sense. Did MR with scan date 19.07.2024... and now on my 20 week mark waiting on them again. I really do hope naively that I will step into 2025 with good news..but ready for tribunal. Trying to not go back but they affected my mental health this year massively how they treated my boys case 😔 All the best for you all to get some good news before Christmas 🎄 🙏🏼

I remember your case. I really hope to see your update before Christmas. My MR took 21 weeks so I hope you hear very very soon, please keep us updated ❤️

No dla related but just wondering if anyone can help me. We are on pathway, my child’s recently seen paediatrics, they did their questionnaire and checked her over. She’s going for bloods and referral for sleep. But can I ask what’s next from that she Mentioned us seeing them again in a few months is that normal?

Me neither! But I’ll be on the phone at 9am! Ready for the same speel but still gonna do it! 😂

Spurge123 · 04/12/2024 08:30

17 weeks today…will be good to see some August decisions/payments soon 💖

MistandFog2024 · 04/12/2024 08:54

@MrsWeaverTheBeaver they
wont reject your claim for that, they will just amend it once they receive your child’s birth certificate. Best of luck x

Apparently a decision was made yesterday. They won't tell me over the phone. No back pay, some I'm guessing it's been declined

3-5 days for back pay so don’t rule it out just yet

addies · 04/12/2024 09:18

@Tasham25 thanks for letting me know. I'm
Only just home from the school as my daughter was so dysregulated this morning she had to go in with the sendco. I feel awful. I should have just kept her home. Hope they phone me soon with an update. I'm at work now but I can't focus. I just want to cry. Sorry to vent 😢

Concerned1234567 · 04/12/2024 09:26

He has been awarded! Rang through on option 4 and they told me. Do I wait to ask for carers element? Is there anything else I need to do? Also I'm confused about carers allowance. We only get 220 a month universal credit. Does it make sense for me to apply for carers allowance?

I was awarded 22nd November and got back pay Wednesday 27th. If this helps and they can tell if you asked to be put through to someone who can tell you
