Oh she sounds like noah bless her ❤️ yeah noah runs off won't hold my hand or anything I literally have to carry him everywhere or get a taxi as I don't drive the schools literally 10 mins walking I get a taxi because he just has a meltdown or chases the dogs round the park and don't move or listen when I say no that's dangerous. She sounds so lovely honestly no matter how stressful it is you just want the best don't you and more support for them. Noah eats his comfort blanket and sponges I literally have to hide anything sponge wise xxxx

Oh bless you. It’s hard isn’t it, but you love them so much. I was pleased the school backed me up, but it also made me sad seeing how much extra support she needs. Can you get some chewy fidget toys or something? X

Use temu for fidget toys! My son is asd diagnosed and my lord do we go through sensory toys also type in Caldwell children they have an amazing sensory box and if you qualify for extra support you can get a paxk
worth £180 for a contribution of £22 xxx

I’ve just sent it off special delivery. Wish me luck!

Very best of luck. It sounds like school have reiterated just how much support they are putting in place to keep your little one safe and in my experience that certainly counts. My son receives HRC, we are currently doing a MR for higher mobility. I hope you get good news before the week is out. We’ve only been waiting 14 weeks, I say only, it feels much longer when you are waiting on news!

Special24 · 13/11/2024 14:30

Scan date 3/7. I have called today they said it’s in the que for decision

I can imagine. It becomes all consuming. I can’t believe how awful the wait times are. They aren’t doing them necessarily by date order either. We’ve been told not to expect a response until January 28th but they are planning on drafting in extra decision makers as well as the current ones being offered overtime. 🥴

Kimh95 · 13/11/2024 15:52

I know I’m just driving my self mad but seen some fb post awards with august and September scan dates 🫣

ThisNoisyTurtle · 13/11/2024 15:55

I could be wrong but are these the ones in Northern Ireland? Apparently they don't have a backlog like the rest of us

MammaLBlue · 13/11/2024 15:56

I wonder if new claims are getting seen to quicker than coc? Seeing beginning of July been seen to and I’m still waiting from June 😣

Anyone else waiting from mid June ? 😭 I'm going insane

TheSnappyTurtle · 13/11/2024 16:05

@SweetSugarPlum if the school says they wont support EHCP or that he doesnt need one, apply yourself. This is what i had to do. The school even declared in their assessment my daughter didnt need one and is just poorly behaved. I felt so deflated, even questioned myself if i had rose tinted glasses on. Low and behold, she was granted the EHCP and its made such a difference even though its only been 2 weeks because the school still rejected it!! I hope you have a supportive school, alot of schools dont want the hassle. Every professional ive spoken to has said it’s clear she needs it. Wishing you all the best on that journey! ❤️

They told me I would have a decision by the 6th Nov!! Its been with a case manager since the 7th Nov. Still no answer as of yesterday afternoon when I called. It's exhausting now. Just need to know so I can move on to MR if a decline. Preparing myself for the worst. Xx
Is yours with a DM ??
