Heya just a quick one as my minds baffled and I like to plan ahead 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

My award letter came Saturday and it states payments are every 4 weeks from the first Wednesday after entitlement which would of been the 21st Feb as awarded from the 19th feb, counting 4 weeks from then to now I'd be due a payment this Wednesday, but I only recieved back payment on the 2nd...so now I'm thinking when would that payment fall as I've also seen people say it's 4 weeks from backpayment ect.

Thanks

Aww bless him how old is he? I’ve never heard of those if I’m honest what it is if you don’t mind me asking ☺️
my daughter is ASD we think shes on the cahms waiting to be assessed since last October
we only have an additional needs plan and a cahms referral letter and her SENco filled out someone you may know so I’m not feeling hopeful either! Xx

Chronic hives which can be related to his meltdowns etc..we've been on wait list with neuro for over a year been told its a 4 year wait for assessment so it's a bit of a circle because the school can't fund extra support without diagnosis apparently frustrating..

Ah okay..well fingers crossed we know soon!

Your first payment will be 4 weeks from backpay usually. You will be paid for X amount of weeks till week before backpay. So I will say your date will either be 21/28 August.

Ahh yeah says to the 30th July so I'm going with 4 weeks from 31st as that's the Wednesday...this constant need to be organised 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Thanks

When my middle son was awarded in June I didn’t get any text at all , nor when my youngest was refused , I phoned them while on holiday and found out he was awarded MRC and LRM two days before. When I came home I got the letter around a week or so later… my youngest was turned down even though his care needs are much higher but he is only 2 yrs old and I didn’t have much evidence as still waiting on reposts from a few professionals, I put MR in and sent the reports and today was marked as urgent so in hope of getting the no turned into a MRC or HRC 🤞🤞🤞🤞 ( the won’t give mobility for under 5 year olds )

If your on HRC they will consider mobility for 3 year olds either SMI rule or VUW rule

SendProsecco · 05/08/2024 14:16

Hey there…. So I spoke with the HV this afternoon she said that Early years team and SALT are pushing for me to get my son into a pre school so they can do assessments and I explained I applied to 8 near me all refused him as they don’t have the staff even for the 15 hours free a week ( apparently he will be lucky to get even a half day as the 15 hrs don’t add up cost wise so most won’t give more than 8-9 hrs ?? ) any way she said they will want DAF ( funding for a child on dla with SEN needs ) she said he needs dla to get daf and thy will want it for 1-2-1 possibly…. she told me to phone and request to be made priority or marked as urgent as this was dragging since January and I’ve already had to do two applications for the funding as the code is time limited and I run risk of them removing him again from everything as they can’t get access to him in a setting ?? Any way I did call and they have agreed to the reasons she told me to say but she said it can still be a few weeks … has anyone had luck turning around a no to a yes on a MR with a urgent request for a 2 n half year old non verbal autistic who has no danger factor runs is aggressive and eats everything non edible but refuses food unless it’s puree ? ( would be just care as they won’t give mobility under age 5 I think ? )

If you have evidence for mobility then they will consider it for 3 year olds but have to be on HRC either SMI rule or VUW rule

So I'm currently going through COC (change of circumstances) my son turns 3 next week and I want them to consider mobility under the SMI rule which is Severe Mental Impairment, he currently get HRC from my first claim when he got awarded at end of May, currently on week 9 of COC.
Put in on Google mobility check list for DLA to makesure you tick all the list to show your child could get it, it is hard to get. The VUW is (unable to walk) the rules are different for each way you get it

Emssxo · 06/08/2024 14:59

@GemzZ92 soo happy for you hun! We got there in the end! We was awarded 2/08 Friday also I believe so fingers crossed mine shouldn't be too far off now. I'm desperate just to be able to afford a new bed for my boy x
