Hi, I rang on Thursday to give more notes and they couldn’t take it over the phone so someone was going to call in two days time he said to take them from me.
what’s your scan date?

I did the same Wednesday and was told a case manager would call me within 48 hours and they didn't. I called yesterday afternoon about 4pm and the call handler took the info over the phone. Don't know why they couldn't do that Wednesday x

Unrelated I'm so sorry I woundnt know the answer I'm dreading doing this myself if I do ever get a decision😕 but do you have Instagram? If I give you my name can we talk? I feel you're the one I most relate to and even posting what I did last night was completely unlike me so tbh I think I need to reach out to others kind of like myself right now x

Hey its nice to hear from you i hope you have been okay. and yeah i do have imstagram, give me your instagram in private message and i will give you a message ☺️ honestly i feel the same way i dont really have anyone i can talk to about all this stuff i mean i could but they wouldnt be able to relate to it or even begin to understand . So deffinitely send me a private message on here and ill send you message on instagram x

Emssxo · 03/08/2024 22:11

so my Son was awarded HRC, so ive done the changes on UC and requested the disabled child element and carers element. I honestly would of know how to do it iff it wasnt for people on this thread posting pic on how to do it soo thank you to whoever shared it as it really helped…but when ive googled to see how much disabled child element is its coming up with 2 different amounts so im completely confused. I think one was around £200 or just under and the other amount was just over £400.
Just Thought id ask on here to see if anyone can make it make sense as im absolutely clueless and my mind is baffled.🤣

Hey they still haven't changed mine so I wanna know too

i dont mind when UC get it sorted as i know it can take time to sort out ect but its just nice to know these things. I mean i might just be completely stupid and not be understanding the info ive read
But i guess we will just have to wait and see haha.

i got a message yesterday morning on my UC journal from a guy name Brian saying due to recent change of circumstances i have to accept new commintments by date shown on my to-do list otherwise i wont be paid or be entitled to UC.
i looked in my to-do and it was empty but scrolled down on my journal and it states 01/08/2024 9:20am Accept New Commitments Completed. So i messaged back and explained all of this yesterday morning and not heard anything back all day so i even sent the same message again at 7:30pm last night . But that was because the first message i put down as “message for work coach” and as they day went by i decided at 7:30pm to sendd same message again but clicked the option “ about a payment” as i have no idea what option im meant to click on when leaving a message in my hournal now as i most likely dont have work coach due to being classed as carer now . Soo stressful but hopefully it gets sorted for us both soon x

Yes , I feel like my husband is getting harassed since I put in that my son is getting HRC. They want him to put in another 5 hours of work and he's already told them he will but they want an appointment every few days . I'm a full time carer for my son so I don't need to worry about that, but my husband does. Hopefully it gets sorted soon xx

the 200 one is for MRC/LRC and the 400 one is for HRC. You should be entitled to the higher element. If you don’t work or earn less than a certain amount you can also apply for careers allowance. If not entitled you can also claim careers element under UC. If you have not heard back in a week, I would advise you to call up and chase. They take forever with the backpay.

MumofICA · 04/08/2024 17:30

Ahh okay, we our like a may 31st so bit of a wait for us I think. My son now needs glasses high prescription for his age which affects him in many ways. Also the nursery have applied for 1-1 funding for him,

MumofICA · 04/08/2024 17:31

He’s just turned 2

Send mine off on the 31st of may they received them on the 7th of June, only 8 weeks in but got a letter yesterday saying sorry they still haven't came to a decision and could take up to 15 weeks feel like it's going to be a decline after that letter or does everyone get them?

Hi I had that letter too on Wednesday last week , SD 16/01/24 MR date 7/7/24 , I sent extra evidence off called two weeks later to make sure they had it and while I was on the call I was informed that anything from first week of June won’t be looked at until September.

Same here.. was hopeful it would of been assigned to someone as a lot of people are awarded around 17 weeks...

Emssxo · 05/08/2024 12:01

Good news for me finally. Scan date was 5/04 I rang this morning I was told my son has been awarded on 2/08/24 and would be back paid from 8/04/24. They are unable to tell me over the phone the rates for my child which is really unfortunate and I’m not sure why and he said that I will have to wait for the letter but said the letter should be with me in the next 10 days depending on Royal Mail. I'm currently crying my eyes out. Took 17 weeks x

Me too. I wish everyone just told us the same thing as being given conflicting information all the time is what gets me extra worried. I was really hoping to get a decision this week based on being told it was with a decision maker, so now feel deflated again

We got awarded bang on 17weeks.

Id rang 2 days earlier to see if i had time to send an extra piece of evidence and she said i had plenty of time as it hadnt been assigned to anbody. 2 days later i recieved a text to say my boy qualifies.

Good luck xx
