Well i plucked up the courage to phone dla just to put my mind at ease abit.
woman i spoke to was really lovely said my claim is still waiting to be seen by dm and is towards end of the queue. At first she said i was at 15weeks 2days so i asked iff my scan date was different as ive been going from 02/04 and that would put me at 16weeks 2days today, she confirmed my scan date is 02/04 and then recounted the weeks and apologised as she miscounted the first time and confirmed that i am at 16weeks 2days today. she then said she was going put a note on that i phoned to chase up my claim but said i am more than welcome to phone anytime for an update with my claim and then said hopefully it shouldn't be much longer .
i phoned at 9:19am and got through within 5minutes.

I only rang to see if theyd recieved the form.
Ive had 2 letters since 1 saying they recieved it and the other saying theyre still looking into the claim.
Dont think im brave enough to ring yet...maybe give it till next friday when itll be 17 weeks. From the looks of things most people are hearing back around 17weeks.

Oh great news. I would of had a decision Monday but apparently I forgot to say nationality on forms so mine is now on hold till they receive letter. So looking at 10 days+. I haven't received letter to fill out but I sent something in Tuesday when I found out. Rang today and said ring back in 2 weeks hopefully will be delt with. She's didn't even take any details from me so how would she no lol. She also said if I need to send a birth certificate don't send it off take it to a job centre and they will copy it and send it over saves it getting lost. But wasn't asked to supply that so I won't be lol. Fingers crossed we're not far behind you and a bug congratulations ☺️

I wish I had known about taking to the job centre I would have done that instead of sending! Hopefully yours will be dealt with asap they could have let you known that weeks ago! We must all be in the same pile! X

They did this to me. I’ve put I. A formal complaint now; didn’t tell me till 18 weeks. What’s your scan date? Mine is 19/03 I hope to gosh it’s not much longer as I’m paying for my daughter to attend therapy privately and it’s financially destroying me :( just desperate to get her some help xx

Thank you , honestly it has eased my mind abit knowing my claim is in right department ect . Hopefully wont be much longer till i hear something but with it being towards the end of the queue i have a feeling that means i have weeks to go yet before i get a decision

Of course, it was 19/3. It was backdated from 20th March as I sent the forms back late.

My daughter scan date is 13/05 so long wait yet I'm just so nervous she 2 and half and in the process of a ehcp at nursery atm my other daughter has asd 4 years and was awarded at 3 years old but this daughters 2 and half she has much higher care needs and scored much higher on her asd assessment she but I'm worried her age will effect the outcome ive heard until there 3 they say thisnis normal care she is completely non verbal apart from counting to five she has no words she self harms it's hard to get her to do anything bath, eat ect we rarely leave the house as she can't walk but she's so tall she doesn't fit her buggy anymore and won't walk forward (any recommendations on disability buggy that doesn't look like one ) even portage and nursery have said she can't start till she gets funding for a 1-1 I'm.just so nervous about the outcome of this I wish I hadn't put the forms in lol took me 6 months to post them !

Hello, just a quick question is it Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit that has to backdate my son disability element. I moved over to Univeral Credit at the beginning of June and found out about his dla in July. But they said they can only verify it from the beginning of June. So what happens to him being backdated from February?

Scan date 25/03 had phone call not long ago from decision maker asked me two questions one was I had not ticked a box and other was how much help my son has at school. He said he will make decision by tomorrow…. I hate this waiting anyone else had phone call to ask more questions?
