Just seen on fb page someone with scan date of 4th June new claim (not fast tracked and not priority) has just been awarded today at 7weeks 1day teeside area ….
someone with scan date of 5/04 got letter today of decline … so now im fully panicking as my SD is 02/04 and ive not heard anything yet and im boro/teeside area … i know alot of people before me still havent heard so my stress or panick may seem stupid or pointless but i cant help but have this dread in back of my mind that the longer it takes its more likely my son will be declined which i know isnt the case it just depends on which dm’s desk your claim lands on or where in the pile your claim is but now im just sat stressing even more about it . Think i may just avoid fb for awhile as i cant take or cope with the stress and anxiety im feeling - sorry for this post i just needed to voice how im feeling as i know others will be able to relate to how im feeling and i feel this is a safe place .

congratulations to those who have been awarded and good luck to those of us who are still waiting 🤞🏻 x

I don't know if anyone remembers the drama with my additional evidence never being scanned in, but I've sent off again today so wish me luck 😂

Yeah thats what im thinking , im debating phoning tomorrow morning. Im thinking with all my letters stating up to 15weeks i could maybe just mention im just over 16weeks now since scan date and wonder iff theres any update on my claim for my son to put mind at ease abit.

obviously i know by these threads its upto 20week wait for decision or in some cases longer but dla wouldnt know im aware of that as ive not phoned up at all these past 16weeks x

CyanFawn · 24/07/2024 16:37

Just a quick one for people who've had calls from dm, do they ring on private, mobile or a dwp phone number? I've had a missed call this afternoon and text the number back but as of yet had no reply. It could be something could be nothing, just with name being told it was with the dm yesterday just made me think. Thanks

So my partners just shown me a post on a cost of living Facebook page he's on. Someone had put on there they've done a mr and spoken to a dm today, said the dm asked for back details, if they could handle a large backpay and said they were ready to award and call back at lunchtime for rates when to expect backpay ect. They've said they rang back at lunchtime and it was a decline, with a full statement of reasons why and they were told next steps tribunal.

Why would a dm say all that for it to just be a decline, it seems like you can't trust what the call handlers say or the dms 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I felt sorry for the poster, only thing I could think of was the poster misunderstood the call and the dm was asking these questions incase they decided to award but hadn't fully made a decision.

Hi not DLA related but was just wondering how long people got answers after their child had the ADOS autism assesment, DC had assesment 12th June, they said they felt they won't need to meet them again and I will hear soon as they had all the information they needed, it's been six weeks, is this normal? Thanks

I was told the diagnosis the same day and a report arrived 3 weeks later.

I had feedback 3 weeks later confirming the diagnosis and the written report followed a week or so afterwards.

We have a paediatrician assessment on Wednesday and I've been told after that it can take up to 8 weeks for the report? I don't know if it differs per area 😊 x

Scan date 25/3

Payment went into my account this morning. Looks like HRC (no mobility as under 5)

Taken 17-18 weeks. I didn't call at any point as by what people say on here I wouldn't have trusted what I was told anyway so decided to wait it out.

Mummacl2 · 25/07/2024 09:10

@Mumof4K @Mumoffourlovelies @LifesAllSparkles I just wanted to give you some hope that they are still processing mid March dates and it doesn't mean it's been declined (as that is what I was fearing).

My SD 15/03 and back pay has been received in bank today with no text or letter.

I really hope you all hear back soon and get some good news xx

OneGreenBird · 25/07/2024 09:14

17 weeks today 😴😴
