It’s terrible ! Yes don’t send birth certificate I’ve sent my sons and that’s gone walk about! If you hadn’t of phoned you would still be waiting!

Hi all

I phoned up and got my DLA application sent to me. I've made a mistake. Will it be acceptable if I swap the pages with the same page from an application I'll print off? The paper colour they use is beige, whereas mine is white. Hoping that it's acceptable?? I can't cross it out as it'll make too much mess

Just for an update I've rang today and been told it's out the holding queue and with the dm but still could be upto 2 weeks for a decision but there is a note to text.

My s/d is 2nd april but they changed it to 1st as that was my deadline and if it wasn't bank holiday it would of been back the end of March.

Really are they replacing it for you?

Also, why do they request birth certificates?

My sons teacher printed the who nos you bit off and filled it in and I sent that separately so don't see why not.

Tbh I haven’t even asked ! I’m hoping it’s a mistake and it’s there because I’ve not heard anymore about sending it in! Surely I would have if they requested it? Maybe now though that’s why the wait is so long because they haven’t got it?!

I had this last week scan date 27/03 called them this morning and was told the man last week Lied and it’s not even with a dm yet it’s a nightmare can’t see how there allowed to lie to you

They are a total nightmare ain't they. I'd give them a ring it's an excuse to check on your claim at the same time. Fingers crossed for you x

Yeah, I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. I just thought I'd let people know. I was told last week when I rang to check evidence had arrived that it was near the top of the holding pile and would go to a dm either last week or this week, then today told it was with a dm and in the last stages of the claim so who knows...

definitely can be a nightmare cant it, I get they have a lot of people ringing through but unfair to lie to people at the same time, my first time doing one and it’s been really stressful at times, hope you get the award your child deserves soon x

Called today for an update, told COC are taking 14 weeks. Our scan date was Mid May so hopefully end of August time.
Anyone had a COC come back quicker? Need has risen significantly

I'm also COC even though I though I thought mine would of been put through as MR but never mind, and this morning I rang to makesure evidence was scanned on, got told 14 weeks to wait till middle September, I'm 7/06, haven't heard anyone lately do COC

I am COC around that time. I would take what call handlers lightly. I’d say the wait is around 15/17 weeks, hopefully fingers crossed it’s sooner.

had a missed call today but no voicemail.
they rang at 4:30 by the time i saw the missed call it was too late. Can they make a decision without talking to you first?
im at work from 9-7 tomorrow so cant call them back either 😭😭

Sent forms 21st Feb scan date 7th March nothing yet I think the dates mean nothing if your going by date order, fingers crossed won't be much longer for us x

26th may a letter from dla because I forgot to add my nationality and relationship to child so sent that form off
today iv had a phone call asking about my sons sleeping and how it effects which atm he is on melatonin so it’s not as bad as it once was I told them all this and he has told me I will hear something in 48 hours?
now am worried it’s going be a no because it’s only been 8/9 weeks but if it’s good news am not complaining because I know a lot have been waiting much longer, so can anyone shed any light on the call and will o get a decisions this soon or will it still be a further 8-9 weeks posted on previous thread before realising a new one had been made Tia xx

Sounds like a DM phoned you and will make a decision within 48 hours then you may be one of the lucky ones, just ring up and get them to see if it's been awarded
