Hi I've been watching these threads since number 43 it's my first time posting, I'm still waiting my sd 18th March, I have rang for the first time today and said 20 week wait basically don't ring back till after she was so rude and very unhelpful, I even said I'm nearly 18 weeks is it even with a dm she said its with a dm soons it scanned on ring back after 20 weeks 😳 I'm even more confused after reading alsorts on here, I've had one letter with sd and that isit, it's my first time claiming my son is 5

Hello I'm not sure what you're referring to? I sent all my evidence along with my form for my little boy and then it was scanned 5/04. Im still awaiting referral appointments, new support plan at school etc so no new extra evidence to send yet I haven't rang I'm on 15 weeks today. Not sure where you got this comment from hun but still just waiting like most people x

and today someone with SD 02/04 and another person with SD 16/04 have been awarded today.

my SD 02/04 still no decision yet but known my luck itll be closer to 20weeks or longer

@CyanFawn yeah! it isn't cheap sending twice and annoying as i sent track / signed for. but also it takes me atleast 2 weeks to get the paperwork again as her community nurse is really busy bless her. i'm on week 12 next tuesday, so i won't even be able to send it off until week 14. and if it will take "6 weeks" to scan then will they even get it in time! so frustrating as they've received it on the 8th. x

I sent my forms signed and tracked first class and that was the signature I got when they received my form. I'm sorry for the miscommunication hun x

Oh i know right it really does sound too good to be true but could possibly be true though as it seems they have no order in how they do it by looks of it over these threads . When i saw the 16/04 my heart sank for not only me but also you and everyone else on this thread who are still waiting for a decision . Have my fingers crossed we hear soon though🤞🏻 alot of people seem to be getting awarded around week 17 so maybe we might only have a couple more weeks to go iff were lucky 🤞🏻

im on LCWRA so can’t get the uc carers element I’ve been told I can claim carers allowance instead is this true? I know CA is deducted £4£ so your no better off but it’s weekly payment which would come in handy

I added COC to uc to add my son gets dla on Wednesday but uc still haven’t acknowledged this changed I phoned to check I’ve done it correctly and was told they will see it when they’ve got time, I know it takes them a while but my statement is due in 2 weeks and would like them to acknowledge the change and add the element.

how long do uc take to pay what they owe you? The wait for Dla is long enough without another extra wait

My scan date 28/03 I phoned on 12/07 was told it still wasn’t with a DM and hadn’t been looked at, but my son was awarded the same day, goes to show they haven’t got a clue and will tell you fibs 😅

Try again in a few days. I was told it was in a queue on Tuesday and to wait till the 8th Aug before chasing again. Called yesterday afternoon and the decision had just been made the day before. Similar scan date so hopefully you’re just a few days away.

This is so true, same thing happened to me. I was told on Thursday morning not with the DM then get a text message at 4pm that we got awarded.

Yeah I sent recorded next day delivery for both envelopes of extra evidence I sent. They didn't know at first where the last lot was so had a bit of an issue locating it but when they found it it was all scanned on within a few days. I'd ring again Monday to enquire if it had been put on yet. They'll make a decision without it, and that could be the difference between a decline and award

Hi can my childs father claim carers allowance if I get carers element on uc? (Were not together) Any advice please

@CyanFawn Yeah i'll be on week 12 when i call so definitely need to be chasing it. I think i might send it again 🙄 just frustrating. thanks for the advice i'll let you know how i get on. x

S/d was 11/03, awarded HRC & LRM on 18/07.

I rang on 17/07 and was told to wait anothet 10 days so I was pleasantly surprised to get our award in the post the next day.

Can anyone tell me about what I need for carers allowance....what do we need to qualify?

Scan date 2nd April here, so I’m almost 16 weeks. I’ve only called once so far, a few weeks ago and I was told I’m looking at about 8th august 😱 I think I’m going to call on Tuesday when I’m 16 and see what they say.
