@Crazyhouse4 im just on hold now 🤞 they have it because the thought of redoing it is too much

Surely yours would have been close to mine in the scanning on pile if we sent it the same day, let me know how you get on, hopefully you get your scan date, say to them you’ve only got another week of the 6 weeks to send it back so need to make sure it’s been received

@Crazyhouse4 they don’t have it at all,
she said that it takes 10 days for the post to arrive, and then 2 weeks for it to be indexed so she said it’s no surprise that it’s not on the system yet and I’ve been asked to call back in another weeks time.
she said she’s pretty confident that it will be scanned on, it just takes a while.
Im glad one of us was confident of this on the phone because I have a really bad feeling it hasn’t got there, so frustrating.

There so slow! I’m sorry they didn’t give you better news, surely they could atleast tell you if it’s been received to stop you having to worry about doing it all over again. Friday it will be 4 weeks since posting it they should definitely have it on the system by then, if they haven’t got it by then and you have to re do the form I would ask if they can still do it from when you first request the forms because it’s not your fault you’ve waited all this time

@Crazyhouse4 i printed the forms off online, I didn’t have a request pack.
I’ll call next Friday if they still don’t have it, I will request they send me out the forms instead of printing them and I’ll redo the forms as crushing as that is. I photo copied everything I could so all I have to do is copy them

Oh i didn’t realise, Did you send it the free post way or put a stamp on it? I won’t be sending anything the free post way again, it’s so slow. Did you take pictures of what you put in the form so you can just copy it if need be? Hopefully they’ve got it next time you call, this wait is long enough without having to wait even longer

@Crazyhouse4 i wrote on my own envelope the dla free post that I found online I wished I’d looked further now as I found the address after I sent it
and yes I have copies of everything I sent so will have to do that if they don’t find the form

Hopefully you will get a letter before you have to call again stating the scan date, it’s usually about 4-6 weeks for the first letter to come 🤞

I got that wrong it’s 2 weeks tomorrow mine was scanned on, I called 24th and the 29th and they said both times it’s not been scanned on and to wait another week then today she said it was scanned on on the 21st, doesn’t make sense why they couldn’t tell me the other 2 times

Hi all. Just phoned for 1 daughter but asked about my other child-14 weeks today. No decision made, taking 15-20 weeks.
Can anyone help me with a COC? I’m only doing it for the mobility side. No care changes but want to make sure what I’m doing it right. Xxx

What is your scan date ? Mine is a COC too scan date 4/03

@Accbabymom1994 i haven’t sent the COC of yet. I’m trying to do the form but getting confused. Other one is a new claim. Never done a COC before and it’s only for mobility as her care needs haven’t changed xx

Oh ok . I remember I just filled in all of the questions and ticked the boxes

@Accbabymom1994 this is what I’m confused about. The bloke at DLA told me if care needs haven’t changed, skipped those questions and only write about mobility but others are saying they won’t look at previous form and to write in about care ect. 😩

I'd do it all just to-be on safe side .

Hello to anyone who may be able to give me some advice? I received a letter 18th April saying they received my sons form on the 5/04/24. I then got another letter on 23/05/24 saying they still haven’t got a decision, it could take 15 weeks, do not need to contact them etc. I’m just wondering what I expect now based on peoples experiences? I do not put my son or myself above anyone else’s needs but the urgency for this DLA is becoming unbearable. I’m hoping someone can help with what sort of letter I should receive next or a rough date of when my son should be awarded or even if I should be contacting them at some point to see what is happening. I understand fully it’s a long wait but can’t help feeling this helpless to our situation.

Hi my son scan date is 12/02/2024 still waiting been on the phone this morning and they said I should hear back this week fingers crossed 🤞🏼 goodluck everyone

Slightly off topic but does anyone know what the time frame is for COC? They received mine today.

Received mine 26/02 still waiting

Most cases are taking 15-17 weeks unless made priority xx

Hello all!
Just want some advice really. I've recently sent off the DLA form for my son and it's been received the other day but obviously not scanned yet. I wanted to add some more information about this night time needs because I don't think I wrote enough ( was very daunting doing the whole form so may have forgotten some things) Can I send off additional information and I've read online something about including his DLA number if i send anything extra off. I've not got a DLA number for him so it is worth waiting until the form gets scanned and i receive a letter from them?
