This would come under the care part, rather than mobility part.

you don’t get mobility for appointments, it goes off road awareness, distance someone can walk until they are in significant pain, if they’re a wheelchair user etc

I am currently waiting on a decision and my little one is almost 6 and also has very frequent urination accidents (sometimes only once or twice, sometimes 10 times a day), home and at school. She also has a poo accident about 3 times a month on average. In nappies over night.

This is only one aspect of the additional needs she has, but it’s quite significant in her life.

Did you get HRC for the toileting situation alone? Or is there overnight care as well?

Just wondering so I can try to guess if I should be awarded or not.

Thanks

Bolton’s wait for paeds appointment is an absolute joke my son got referred December last year and they’re only up to booking July patients from last year so we will end up waiting a year by looks of it aswell he’s only 21 months currently

Aussielover · 19/03/2024 19:24

@Stookey Hi, she recieves HRC for day time and night time wetting as I have to get up with her numerous times a night to change her and her bedding etc. She is under the continence team and takes medication because of it.

Hannahkate90 · 19/03/2024 20:57

@Emma2345 Thankyou for the reply on other thread I'm hoping it means she will now be awarded 🤞I wasn't expecting a phone call so soon so it's made me bit nervous I said wrong thing but he seemed nice enough.

That’s really good you’re getting the diagnoses soon. The report will definitely help your claim. Can I ask how old your daughter is? Where I am from they won’t give a diagnoses until child reaches 5. North west knowsley.

I can't belive that someone told you like that! They just lazy and don't want to open new case. My son is 4 and got autism disorder with hyperactivity diagnosis from NHS doctor.

Yes, we are from Bolton too, and start all process in October 2022 and got diagnosis just last December...

This seems to be the process where I am from. It’s peasley cross centre. Even my GP said I can’t go through a diagnoses with him. It has to be the community pediatrican at that centre when he reaches 5yrs old.
deflated 🙁

Hi all, long time lurker here, this wait seems to last forever!, just wanted anyones opinions 🙈, scan date 27/11, spoke to a lady today and she went and asked the DM if they needed anything else, she came back and said she just asked if i had anymore medical records if not dont worry, so i said i didnt but informed her of a recent incident that happened, and she said she will go tell the DM. Anyway worried now that its going to be a no because i dont have a letter from hospital about the recent event. ( in short my daughter age 14, suffers from severe depression and anxiety after something that happened to her, shes off school most of the time and i have to call in work, she literally sleeps on and off maybe a couple of hours a night 😭😭and needs supervision all the time) just wondered if anyone has being asked if they had anything else to send but didnt and still got an award ? So sorry for the long post! And thankyou if you took the time to read.

It looks like MRC + LRM x 15 weeks plus £10 Xmas bonus to me. Congratulations! Looks like they are finally hitting roughly 16 weeks for payments to become pending x

Duchess89 · 20/03/2024 07:18

My daughter has been awarded!

MRC + LRM 21 weeks of back pay, only saw when I looked at the bank this morning, no text.

I read posts where mums say they burst into tears upon hearing and I didn’t think that would be me, but I blubbed like a baby for a solid 20 minutes!

Fudgie9922 · 20/03/2024 07:52

So much UC statement came in and it has on it child disability and carers element for this month but nothing for the previous 3 months I've left another message on my journal asking when the rest will be backdated normally wouldn't care but its 900 pounds which is alot of money anyone else had this? When I first updated my UC I did request on my journal to have it backdated...
