Our claim that went to DM yesterday has just been awarded MRC and LRM! Just shows how crazy the system is as our youngest daughters claim was scanned first and has been with DM since Fri with no decision. Our eldest was awarded last month only LRC and she is no different if not has more needs than my daughter that was awarded today! It’s definitely a lottery and there is no logic to any of it!

Parking 15/12 still think I’ll be here for another couple of threads 🙄

No, nothing. But I didn’t ask if they could. Maybe I should have.
It’s a long time isn’t it? End of April will take me to nearly 24 weeks xx

I don’t think it would have made a difference because they always lie. He told me last week he will escalate it even though my son doesn’t have a NI number and he will call me by thurs/fri last week. He didn’t call! Think he just said it to get me off the phone because I kept going on and on.

@TiredTilly I didn't request genetic testing the consultant said that because of how severe her symptoms are he wanted to rule it out and then that would make diagnoses quicker. I would definatly be querying it.

I see. Yes I definitely will query. Thank you 💐

No, you’re probably right. It’s so frustrating getting told different things every time. What’s your scan date? Have they requested an NI for your little one yet? Xx

Hi new here I've applied for DLA for youngest daughter who has ADHD scan date 6/3 but wanting some advice on my eldest who is almost 9, she recieves HRC for incontinence she is also on the pathway for autism diagnosis I started receiving DLA for her since April 23 so been 11months I do not recieve any mobility for her but disagree with this decision as we cannot go anywhere without wetting herself having to stop what we are doing and return home, taxis won't let her in because she is wet etc. She has sensory issues so refuses to wear pads/pull ups I was thinking as you can request a MR up until 13 months after the acceptance date would it be worth doing or do you think she isn't entitled to it or maybe they will take her claim off her all together, We have a lot of appointments for her, we have stopped going anywhere now as she just constantly Wets herself. So don't know what to do regarding this. Do you think she could be entitled to mobility part? Thanks.

This would come under the care part, rather than mobility part.

you don’t get mobility for appointments, it goes off road awareness, distance someone can walk until they are in significant pain, if they’re a wheelchair user etc

KLA1993 · 19/03/2024 14:56

@TheHeadOfTheHouse Ah OK thought it might not, thankyou

Just got through scan date 8/12/2023 asked if had time to send in more evidence and she said she would take the information over the phone . I asked if in holding pile or with a DM . She just said it's in the department but not with a specific DM yet . And will get a decision by the end of this month . We will see lol

@TiredTilly she's 2 she will be 3 in August. I knew from her being around 10 months old. My oldest son who is 21 was diagnosed with mild autism at 17 year old. He is now in a mental health care home. We are in leigh Lancashire near Wigan. I waited a year n half for her first pead app. Shocking really.

Your not far from me , I’m in horwich was your paeds appointment at Wigan or did they refer you to Bolton
