My niece got hrc for peg feeding she had to have hers inserted in the rvi don’t take no less you do night care so ur little one is entitled to high rate it’s just a joke having to wait this long when there is equipment and hospital trips etc you need the funds for have u applied for a family fund grant they are fast and can help with a lot x

No what do they help with? We have on average 3 hospital appointments a week and parking can be £24 alone without the fuel as it’s 45mine away from home so it’s crippling me I’m hoping for higher rate as his deeds take an hour each plus have to wake for each one so between each feed I get about an hours sleep as it’s 3 hr from start of each feed not end

they help with so much even family holidays to haven which is good for a break from your normal routines hospital visits etc look into it and apply iv put the link above and I no exactly what you are going through my sister ended up having a life saving operation while my niece was on peg so I had to have her for 12 weeks you feel like you have set the pump away it does it job finishes you disconnect it flushed it then re settled the little one then re settled yourself again then it’s back to doing another feed through the pump I honestly can’t see why you won’t get high rate as it is basically 24 hour care xx

What can I use my grant for? - Family Fund

You can apply for any of the grant items we deliver that will help meet your child’s additional support needs. Take a look at the options.

Hey thats great news 😀.
So if you called up for the forms then it goes from the first full week. So I called on the 2/11 but they started counting from the 8/11 as that is the start of their full week which is a Wednesday. Plus £10 for Xmas bonus.
Oh I know I'm so glad I don't need to do this again for a while x

MrsLove5 · 28/03/2024 10:20

Oh thats makes sense! i think what happened is they paid me from my scan date as i sent the forms back late (i did put on the forms it was late due to waiting for a letter from the teacher)
do you think its worth calling and asking to be paid from my call date instead?

My son was awarded HRC LM until 2025 🥹😭

Im so happy i don't have to do this again for a while either! ♥️

MrsLove5 · 28/03/2024 10:21

Aw hope all is well x
you need an NI number before they can process the claim. Babies usually get NI number generated when you claim child benefit for them. The ones that don’t claim child benefit have a CL reference number so takes forever for our claims because they have to contact hmrc for a NI number for our little ones.
does your reference start with CL?xx

Aussielover · 29/03/2024 06:28

@Jadexxx92 hi! Did you apply for smi? If so what evidence did you send please massive congrats x

Congratulations!!! That’s such great news!! Iam also applying for HRM, may I ask what evidence did you submit

Jadexxx92 · 29/03/2024 10:17

@UmElise @Aussielover hi, I applied under SMI and VUW. My boy had ASD and GGD he is 3.5years old. We. Had letters of the hospital saying he had significant Global developmental delay, a termly letter of his special needs nursery with his baseline age on all area, he was marking up at 0-6month understanding. 0-3 communication talking.. and all area of gross motor skills no higher than 12-14 month old. I have seen people do this and still get rejected. I wrote a lengthy statement went through the flow chart and explained why I fort he meet evey point. I also kept going back to the fact his gross skills are that of a 12month old, my boy is also restrained with a special needs pushchair and a special seat for eating has been requested by the hospital. I put that if we did try to walk there would be no progression at all as all he will do is spin in cycles and flap walking is not an option.

Aussielover · 29/03/2024 17:09

@Jadexxx92 I'm speechless because you're EXACTLY the same as us, my son self harms tho, needs safety helmet but doesn't wear it, every thing else is exact same I sent the same level of evidence as you x
So when they declined you and you went to MR did you have new evidence or just explain why you think he meets smi? X
Also - why did they say no first time round? And how long is your award for x so glad I've found someone similar x

Jadexxx92 · 29/03/2024 17:34

@Aussielover. I originally sent it his baseline age from nursery but it was abit older and the letter from hospital also. They rejected due to not enough evidence, so on MR I send very recent nursery letter with baseline age and letter from doc outlining a fee more things. I only sent them 2 other letter in with a very long statement lol.. stating I believe he meet everyone and gave examples and reasons to each question on the flow chart, and that I will be prepared to gp to tribunal as I no he is entitled. I wish you all the luck in the world with your boys award 🩵

Aussielover · 30/03/2024 04:54

@Jadexxx92 how long were you awarded for xx

HalleLouja · 30/03/2024 07:30

So we got the money last Thursday and so far we have only got a letter to say we are agents for my dd. Nothing to say what level we were awarded.

I am going to have to phone them aren’t I? Just wondering how long I should have had to wait for the letter to confirm rates.

Fortunately no problems with NI for us, I had to make a change to my claim about 2 weeks ago as my DD was diagnosed with cancer and obviously that wasn’t on her claim , so they needed more evidence but I’ve sent it all last week and it was delivered but still no news x
