I know some people get texts to say they've been awarded but has anyone had a text to say they've been declined? 15 weeks today and my anxiety is through the roof! Congratulations on all of your awards today x

So just got through got told the same thing it's with a DM but still waiting on Nino

All these December dates are making it seem more a reality that they will reach ours!

Scan date 7/12 - text this morning to say DD has been awarded! No sign of money in account yet but I have alerts set up for money going in so I'll know when it does.

Such a relief, there's social support she really needs but it's £50 a week and I just couldn't afford that on top of the therapy I'm already paying out for.

She's turned 16 now, so it won't be long before I start a PIP application for her.

I got told exactly the same thing, first lady even gave me exact date it went to a dm, now apparently its in a holding pile and wont be with a dm for another two weeks! whats going on?!

This is similar to why I'm trying to get a claim for my daughter (13)
So we can pay for private counselling sessions, social support etc,

Haha I know they really do don't they? The lady I just got off the phone to was brilliant, so informative and helpful. I went to answer the questions at the end and it went all weird and said I selected that I wasn't happy with my call today, I vet she thinks I'm a right weirdo now because I was thanking her and saying have a nice day etc etc..🤦‍♀️. Awarded till Dec 2026 😍. Thank god I don't have to do this again for a while haha!!

Got told just then the DM team said a decision will be made by 29th of April 😂 so they're basically saying 20 weeks as a guide now but yet they'll tell the next person they're not allowed to give dates 😂 I can hand on heart say it's not even about the money, as I paid private for my child's diagnosis as I couldn't bare the wait through the NHS for him. It really is the torture of not knowing if you're leading up to having to do a MR and fight them for it, and that's what they don't understand, we all deal with enough daily nevermind getting told 20 different stories, so here's hoping all our kids get what they deserve.

Scan date 8/12 just rang they are now saying taking 20 weeks again so end of April for a decision not even with anyone it’s ridiculous the wait

They told me up to 18 weeks this morning I’m sure they just say whatever number first comes to their head

I was a day before you and just heard, so hopefully soon, fingers crossed for you x DD was 15 though so already had a NI number by the time I'd submitted the application, not sure if that makes a difference?

Some positive news. I called up and have been awarded HRC and LRM for one year. Annoying it’s only one year but I guess things can change. My child has no diagnosis but suffers health anxiety and suspected adhd . It’s funny as I was thinking he would have been awarded perhaps LRC only but can’t complain. I think his award will likely reduce when I do a renewal depending on what treatment we can get him for the anxiety tho, I got the text yesterday to say he was awarded and called this morning for rates. Scan date was 06/12

First time poster here 😊 scan date 1/12 for a new claim for my daughter. I just phoned and the lady said it was with the specialist clerical team. I asked what this was and she said it’s to get the national insurance number. She said it was requested on 22nd March. Has anyone else had this?

Yes my scan dates 17/11 and I'm still waiting on my daughters national insurance number x

No they didn't when I phoned again today they said it shouldn't be too much longer now I know they told you the date they requested it but did they say much longer it will be xx

Hi all. Scan date 12/12. I was told on Monday i would have a decision by April 2nd! Don't think thats going to be true. Do all claims need a national insurance number? My little one is 3. The reference number looks like a Nino number

I think if you claim child benefit your child will already have one available for DLA to access X

Yes they do I spoke to someone else the other day and she said I should have a decision this week
