Hi,
placemarking.
sorry to be joining you all here.
My dd was awarded HRC but no mobility in Jan, so gone back for that. I suspect she will receive LRM when she turns 5, but I feel we have a good case for HRM, so here we are.
Shes just been awarded a blue badge, so at least parking got a little safer.

I thought it was six weeks for a MR?

I was told today that its 8 weeks before its even handed to anyone. I'm on 7 weeks 4 days. The lady on the phone said it should be handed to someone by the end of next week. Then could take a few more weeks for the decision. She also said they will only send a letter with the decision on so if awarded you ll probably have the pay 1st.

@1tiredmam We were declined completely also, I suspect my daughter has a mix of ASD and ADHD, she ticks all the boxes, and the amount I do for her is far more than another child her age, she is actually quite academic and is doing ok in school, although her reports say if she tried harder she could achieve much more, my niece who has the same issues is awarded HRC and the only difference is she is no longer attending school, if school supported my claims, we would have been awarded, we had an appointment with Camhs this week and whilst we're on the anxiety path at the moment she sees enough to push the ND pathway to hopefully get us past the triage stage and on the pathway. Its so sad that at every turn we need to fight x

sadly not, the letter I got confirming my MR said 11 weeks. Hope you get what you deserve. x

It's just taking so long. I think I got declined because my daughter doesn't go to school yet but she goes to playschool for 2 hours twice a week. I've been referred to a lot of different people but haven't actually seen anyone due to the long waiting lists. Luckily I seen a pediatrician last month who was able to give me a report.

Mumof6boys1girl · 16/03/2024 22:11

I requested forms 25/07 scan date 17/08 declined 04/01 did Mr had phone call from case manager 06/03 who declined again all I said was tribunal it is 2 minutes later she called back and started negotiating and decide low rate care low mobility just appealed

LancsMcG · 17/03/2024 14:01

@Mumof6boys1girl sorry you are having to go to tribunual - did they say anything when you said tribunual ? I know you've said they offered you LRC and LRM (personally I don't see how they can do LRC then award LRM - doesn't make sense if LRM has been awarded - you would have thought MRC )

So is it a big job having to go to tribunual - and how long will that take?

I saw on one of the threads a few weeks ago that 2 days before tribunual they offered something more suitable)

Sarahdestiny · 17/03/2024 17:08

@Mumof6boys1girl
How long did it take for you to get a answer and that is ridiculous defo tribunal

Sarahdestiny · 18/03/2024 13:00

Mr date 16/2 Decides to ring today this week is only week 5 and they just said it won't go to a dm until 8 weeks like someone previously stated on this thread 😑 so another 3 weeks to go to a dm and god knows how long for a decision probably middle or end of April x

LancsMcG · 18/03/2024 13:08

@Sarahdestiny thanks for updating us
my MR is 19/2 won't call until week 8
Fingers crossed for us all!

Sarahdestiny · 18/03/2024 13:13

@LancsMcG no problem & yes fingers crossed we get good outcomes after another long wait x

sjm100 · 18/03/2024 16:29

I'm only on week 2 of this MR, I think I really have to put this out of my head now, by the time I get to week 11 my girl would have just turned 16, then I'll have pip to worry about. The wait is ridiculous. Fingers crossed to us all x

Komahra · 19/03/2024 15:02

Just send MR letter by special delivery...

Stumidwife · 21/03/2024 08:18

My son has just been declined, waiting for the letter so I can go ahead with the MR. I sent a lot of evidence when I initially applied but didn't send extra throughout the 4 month wait. So I'll gather all of that to send this time.
He has a rare auto-inflammatory disease that means every 3 weeks he gets a 40° fever for 5 days, pain which means he won't walk and develops a squint with the fever so he can't see properly.
He is in the process of getting diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, already diagnosed with hypermobility, coeliac disease, asthma, dysautonomia which causes extreme night sweats so that I always have to change bedding during the night.
He is on daily medication and awaiting surgery

sjm100 · 21/03/2024 11:21

@Stumidwife I'm so sorry you've been declined, I'll be honest, I makes no sense to me, you are able to start the MR on the phone and tell them you'll send in further evidence, that's how I did mine, I think we must have had the same plank of a DM! x

LancsMcG · 22/03/2024 14:36

Hi all, seems quite slow on this thread just now :(

My MR was 19/02 (after being awarded LRC) had private consultant letter (giving indication of ADHD, ASD, Feotal Alcohol, NAS (neonatal absynthe syndrome) referral infor from hospital for NHS community peadatrician (probably 12-18 month wait - hence us getting a private consultant after being told that but now back on NHS wait list to get the diagnosis confirmed). He's on EHCP pathway (after being on SEN pathway with 2 reports from specialist inclusion service) and finally got appointment with SaLT mid april

I sent more evidence in last Thursday (EHCP referral , SEN indlusion report saying he's at 18-24 months for most things) he's 43 months currently.

Will phone Monday to ensure things have been scanned on (sent special delivery again) and see what they tell me (think they've been telling others 8 weeks then it goes to a DM) which can then take 3 weeks.

sjm100 · 22/03/2024 14:44

My MR will be 3 weeks Monday, so I have a long way to go yet, will be phoning next week to make sure they have received my extra evidence I've sent. I don't have much because we don't have a diagnosis yet. I and most people who meet my daughter suspect a mix of adhd and asd but can't get her on the pathway because school don't support my claims because she masks heavily at school and is academic and doing well. Its a tough battle.

LancsMcG · 25/03/2024 13:18

Oh my goodness....so I was awarded LRC back in mid Feb (after a scan date of 19/10) and I put in a MR straight away, I've since sent off some further evidence which was scanned on last week (thank goodness - I sent it to be signed for)...but this lovely guy was new ... he didn't have a clue on dates, saying my scan date was 20 november (which it wasn't) then it takes 20 weeks (which he says I'm on week 18), but then I said no - I was awarded back in mid Feb and it's my MR, but he was insistent that it goes to the DM in 2 weeks (when it reaches 20 weeks) - so these new people don't have the foggiest....

sjm100 · 25/03/2024 13:58

@LancsMcG I don't think so either, I don't think some of the DM's even fully read what they have been sent. I've received a letter about my MR saying the scan date is 04/03 my original scan date was 06/11 and I called for the forms 19/10, what is even more annoying is that my niece has been awarded hrc with exactly the same issues as my daughter and we were declined. I've sent extra evidence but really trying to put it out of my head now. Hope you get the outcome your child deserves.

Mummytoviboys · 26/03/2024 01:47

Original scan date 08/09
declined 17/01
MR recieved 26/01
last week had a letter stating up to 15 weeks

Mummytoviboys · 26/03/2024 02:08

My little one was only 5months when we first applied, he has a genetic condition, no pigmentation which means he can’t be exposed to uv rays as he’s high risk for skin cancer and certified partially sighted although very likely to change to severely partially sighted when he’s old enough to tell us what he can see!
they declined him for care needs, explaining that he would not need any extra care for someone his age and to reapply when he’s 3 for mobility! My little one is a twin and his care needs are triple those of his twin sister!
which anyone would imagine with a child with a visual impairment!
I have an older son with the exact same condition who is severely sight impaired, he gets HRC/HRM and recieved MRC from a baby!
we will be off to tribunal if we’re declined again!

LancsMcG · 26/03/2024 06:25

@Mummytoviboys sorry to hear about your son's condition. I am 100% positive, that different DMs give different decisions - there just doesn't seem to be any kind of consistency to their awards whatsoever.

I really hope that you get awarded very soon - good luck x

Sarahdestiny · 26/03/2024 08:45

Week 6 of mrs & it is dragging in August will be 1 year since applied for the dla new claim & renewal from the beginning is a joke especially if then have to go tribunal which can take even longer ! Sick of the waiting now gonna call today see if they say anything new which probably won't 🙄

Lulakate84 · 26/03/2024 09:30

Just called was told it would go to a DM at 8 weeks which was last Friday, still not been allocated so they said they would email the managers to get it looked at an to call next week 😔 x

sjm100 · 26/03/2024 09:58

@Mummytoviboys so sorry you were declined given your sons condition. Wow 15 weeks, that's painful considering we've already waited any where from 15-20 for the original decline. I honestly don't think these DM's have a clue and they definitely don't read all of the information provided. I'm only on week 3 so have a way to go yet.
