Dla wait times part 33

Thank you. It’s driving me insane. The wait time is ridiculous. I rang up a few weeks ago and after what felt like an intergation the lady said it can take up to 16 weeks and my claim was still in a holding pile. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi. I got awarded on week 13 the money was in my account on week 14. Scan date 29/12

@Avfgirl my sons is dated the 2nd January and haven’t heard anything since letter telling me it would now take 15 weeks

Has anyone been successful with mandatory reconsideration?
My child was awarded MRC last month and I stupidly just rushed the form and probably didn’t put as much info as I should have.
I’ve done the MR but unsure of success rate etc and how long they usually take? X

I just rang up and got through straight away to be told that my claim hasn’t been looked at yet and the wait time could be up to 20 weeks now! I don’t understand why they are taking so long. I can understand in complex applications but when you’ve got diagnosis and evidence to confirm everything. We are claiming so we can get items to help our disabled children. So frustrating.

Has anyone applied for dla for child with severe mental health issues and been awarded it?
