@Mrslane2019 Thank you, I will keep fighting because its the only way she will get the help she desperately need but right now I feel like I've failed her.

@sjm100 can you get cahms to write a letter to back your claim? When we did my oldest son’s claim a few years ago he was declined. Got paed to write a letter of support and was over turned to HRC LRM and he’s had DLA for 6 years since. If you need any advice with MR - let me know. I know how gutting it is to get a decline xx

Lol, I had my first letter 15/01 no idea if that’s the scan date as I can’t find it 😫. Will be here for a dozen new threads I expect… wishing you all a short wait and a fair decision! 😉

@bonz2023 totally understand what your saying it’s the fear of not knowing. I think I will be phoning everyday for the next week 😂😂. I have been thinking I haven’t wrote enough. But I sent loads of evidence Ed psych report and draft EHCP. But it’s even if they bother reading it xx

@KaylaOG Thank you, I've no idea how I'm going to word the letter I need to write, I feel they've literally just taken the schools account and not the 3 pages of what I do for her into account, when speaking to the guy on the phone today he told me what the DM had written and it kept coming back to no official diagnosis and no medical professional backing up what I've said, but without the school's support I'm not going to get that, I'm still waiting for cahms intervention the first appointment should have happened last month so I'm chasing that as well

Spoke to someone really lovely. She said they are aiming to send all applications to a case manager at 16 weeks. But they can’t give an exact date as they go in date order (apparently!). She said they will ask for extra evidence etc if needed when it goes to a case manager. They’ve put a note on my file to send me a text once a decision is made. I can then call to find out what the decision is.

My son was the same. He had no diagnosis but at least did have his first paed appointment by then. I think the doctor took pity on me because I called crying when I received the decline because I’d just had to give up work to care for him. If the claim is for neurodiversity, it’s well known that children mask in school so don’t give up fighting! Xxx

All I have sent is, early help review from school, neurosurgery diagnoses letter from a few years ago, 2 SALT reports and the form

I did call last week and update them following a SALT assessment to say they are referring to the autism pathway

To me she needs more care and attention than a child her age, she has toilet problems, sleep issues, can't be left unattended so to me that isn't normal for a child her age but will they believe me....who knows 🤷‍♀️

Aw I hope you all get what you deserve and those who don’t fight until you get it. I’m not hopeful a few more weeks left to wait but I have no diagnosis only a referral to a pediatrician. I did send in a statement from nursery SENDco explaining how difficult nursery days can be, lots of nursery assessments showing he is under target, 2 year review to show not hitting milestones, and a letter from speech and language with a statement of one to one observation which then included the referral, along with a statement from myself on day to day life, sleepless nights, barely verbal and no communication skills therefore cannot potty train, no sense of danger and cannot be left unattended, I hope it’s enough trying to stay positive but its so hard!

@bonz2023 it’s sounds like you have sent well enough it’s so horrible when we know are children suffer. If we could put them in a room with a DM they would change there mind. My daughter is totally different from my other kids. She still puts stuff in her mouth has so many sensory issues. She can just fly out of control just off a single word. I have been blessed with her school they have been brilliant with her. I phoned to tell them a couple a weeks ago to say she been expected to a special needs unit inside the school just hope they have noted it.

Our children sound so similar, the SALT Therapist asked me what triggers her outbursts and I said well any minor inconvenience really 🙈 she will only wear one type of sock from Asda! Costing me a fortune in replacing clothes she is soiling daily I'm at the end of my tether with it but I know she can't help it

My school said they didn't see any issues in class but know girls mask very well so they supporting me with a referral, then SALT agreed with me that something needs exploring so I felt emotional then because someone else can see what I see

Scan date 13/11. Received 1 letter dated 31/12. Rang last Tuesday for an update and hasn't been looked at yet

@bonz2023 SALT are great they recognise so many promblems. My daughter is constant wetting herself at school she hate toilets only uses a potty at home. She can’t stand certain clothing either. She try’s to just take her clothes off wherever she can. It’s so stressful writing into words. I just hope it’s a positive outcome for us both. On a another note just had a 0800 number ring thought omg it’s dla. It wasn’t it was sky trying to sell me a tv package 😭😭

Hi all I applied for a mandatory reconsideration and I am currently on hold but when u rang the automated service said I will receive letter end or April explaining what am entitled to does this mean it's been accepted or has anyone else had this

@EasygoinyAmy I am on hold too. So stupid because I woke up this morning thinking I was fine with putting it all aside in my mind and just it will come when it comes... Lies. Now here I am, with the stupid music and my stopwatch on knowing it will be over an hour wait 😭
And later I have to ring the Carers Allowance team because I am on week 7 for that when they said it would take a maximum of 7 😢

And every time the music stops my heart skips a beat and then... "we are currently experiencing..."
