Ugh, I only messaged through my journal, been two days and nothing yet.. apparently my statement is decided on my circumstances up to 17th of the month so I’m hoping they get a wriggle on 😂😂 you had anything today? Xx

@SkittleFox I rang again today another snotty lazy person. Then had a message off David the big idiot. Saying “we look into your change of circumstances in due course” like I owed them money they would be having up in court. They are worse than dla 😂😂

Just thought I’d update this thread for the people who haven’t moved to the new one my little girl got awarded today forms requested on the 30/10 scan date 15/11 went to a dm yesterday had a decision today. I only sent the forms no extra evidence or written pages. Awarded HRC&LRM. Hope everyone gets the awards their children deserve ♥️

I think we all have a chance next week. There is usually a week they are focussed one. Last week was 6-10th Nov. This week - 13-17th Nov..
and hopefully next week 20-24th Nov 🙏🏼
obviously with a few dates scattered before and after.

I rang them yesterday for an update nd was told they had made the decision and then the backdated pay was in my bank today xx

I was finally awarded this week after my scan date 3/11.
I had the letter today saying we’ve got Higher rate care and lower mobility.

I wanted to give some hope in those that think they’ve not given evidence , all I managed to submit was proof he saw a community paediatrician and had referrals to many services and then what I wrote. I was so worried it wasn’t enough.

Quick question - now he’s been awarded, would I get an increase in universal credit?

Were you awarded from the date you called for the forms or the Wednesday following?

Hi first of all congratulations on your award and most definitely you will get an increase in your UC award you will now be entitled to the severe child disabled element which is an Extra £456 on top of the universal credit amount you already recieve you will have to notify them and also ask this amount to be backdated to the start of your dla claim x

I was awarded from the date they received the forms & scanned them.

Which they claimed was 3 weeks later than I sent even though I did recorded next day delivery!

@Emma2345 thank you, I’m so relieved it makes a huge difference now to his life. I’ve been having to pay for a 1-1 for after school clubs, there’s just so many costs isn’t there?!

I would ring them on Monday hun as they may not check your journal and then say you didn’t report your change of circumstance being entitled to now claim severe child disabled element because your (now in receipt of dla ) it’s already so hard for them to even back pay the amount to people I’ve seen some posts where people have waited 3 months !! I waited only a few days with my 1st but I did ring them and ask them to update my circumstances for me as I said I didn’t no how to do it through my UC account if you no what your doing change your circumstances as well today thru ur online journal if not ring them Monday and ask them to do it for you or to explain what you have to do while their on the phone to you ,,, & yes most definitely my son is suspected ASD and so violent doesn’t sleep needs extra care and attention throughout the day and night no dangers Excetra this money would help out massively I already pay for him to go to school 4 days a week he is almost 3 but that’s still £450 a month that’s without dinners on top and travel because he refuses to walk he can’t communicate or anything either so if I am awarded the money would go to helping him x

Hi depending which day you received your payment it’s usually a Tuesday or Wednesday 4 weeks from the back payment x

Hi all, I was just wondering how long after you sent off the claim you received a text or letter saying they've received it? I posted my sons claim on the 22nd January and haven't received anything yet. I might be wishful thinking to receive one any time soon, but I'm scared it may have gotten lost in the post 😬🤦🏼‍♀️

After how many days did you receive back payment?

Hi I sent my form off in November it wqs scanned 22/11 i only received my 1st text last week its around the 15 weeks mark that texts are sent out x

Also I can’t remember when I received my 1st letter I’ve had 2 then a text last week I’m sure it was about 6 weeks after and then about 12 weeks x
