Sorry for the delay, I went food shopping whilst on hold 🤣. Got through after an hour and a half whilst in the bacon aisle of Asda! Was just told it’s a 16 week wait and to expect to get a decision mid March. Lovekh chap but clear as mud on a foggy night in January 🤣 x

@MrsW12 so I rang at the top of the pile and a dm will pick it up next week apparently but who knows probably still be sat at the top of the pile till end of March 😂 x

When I called the other day I asked this and was told they don't actually contact the school unless they need more information

scan date 3/11 called again today to be told sill in a queue, expect to hear by middle of march

Could I ask a question to you knowledgeable lot please!
My partner and I have a joint UC account, we get £482 a month - he works full time taking home roughly £2600.
Am I right in thinking we’ll get the disabled child element added on and the carers? And it won’t be affected by his take home as we’re already entitled to £482? Hope this makes sense!
Also, does anyone find the entitled to calculators accurate? It’s all a minefield to me! (Btw, my son gets HRC LRM) xxx

Our decision is supposed to be made in 4 weeks time. But I have called this morning to ask if they will be returning my son’s birth certificate. They wrote out and asked for it about a month ago and I sent it straight away along with the most significant piece of evidence I had to support the claim. They have said they cannot find his birth cert on the system, but they haven’t wrote out to me since asking for it again. The woman I spoke to wasn’t very helpful when I was asking what will happen now they don’t have the evidence or the birth cert, as this will affect my claim. She basically couldn’t answer and said ring back mid week to see if it’s there yet even though she admitted it should really be on there by now so she just wanted me off the phone. Has anyone else had anything like this?

@SL93 not me personally but I’ve noticed a few people saying evidence going missing they can’t seem to find it excetra did u send it signed for and recorded? If so you should be able to give them the tracking number and they may be able to find it somewhere in the holding pile with that information x

I just put it in the prepaid envelope they provided so my own stupid fault really. I’m just worried it’s going to delay my claim or they will deny it. It will take weeks for me to get another birth cert. The system is hopeless!

Mine was with DM 5 days if that helps

I’ve only got off the phone and been told my daughter has just been awarded today MRC and LRM. My scan date was 19/10, it’s been such a long dreadful wait.
Could someone please tell how do I report the change to UC? I don’t know what I’m supposed to do now.

@AprilRain02 hi I rang and asked them to update my changes when I was awarded last year for my son but you can do the change thru ur journal x

Scan date 25/10. Finally cracked and rang for the first time today at 17+5. On hold for an hour and spoke to a nice person. No decision yet, it is with someone so shouldn't be long at all.

@SL93 hi I seen your post about birth certificate I had same problem with mine but eventually they scanned it on the claim just took few months so you should be fine x
