Child disability element universal credit

Hi,

Does anyone know if universal credit back date the child disability element from when you first called dla for the claim form (which dla too will back date) or does uc child disability element start from the date dla make the award?

I did that anyway but didn't think I'd hear back so soon. Anyway I was contacted again just now and thry said it's all included but they didn't say when it would be paid. X

U will get a letter with the amount once payment has been sent then it takes 2 days from there to hit ur bank x

They sent it this afternoon so hoping it's not till Monday 🤣 x

What did u put in the complaint I’m debating on complaining as it’s 5 weeks today since I made the change but it was only 2 weeks on Tuesday since it went to a decision maker x

I reported changes on 24/4 and it was escalated on the 10/5 hoping to hear something tomorrow

Hope you’re not waiting too long now. I reported the change on the 22/4 and got it escalated on the 7/5 still no word as of yet but hopefully hear something this week

To be verified I think. Any time I ask I get told the decision maker will contact me first

They won’t send it to a decision maker till it’s been verified I waited nearly 3 weeks for verification and currently on week 3 of decision maker it’s as bad as the dla wait I put a complain in yesterday so I’m hoping it speeds up the process

On the 25/4 I was told it’s been verified just waiting on the team verifying people that live with me. When I called after that they had checked and said it looks all verified now and wouldn’t be long for my letter but now the case manger is still saying it’s not verified 🙄

Hi checked my new statement and carers element has been added but not child disability element? Did this happen to anyone else?

Morning ladies, just a question- my child had been verified a few days after I've made a change and I know that some of you have escalated their case. Can I just ask how do you do it please?

That’s good I’m 3 weeks today and still not verified and has my new statement and it hasn’t been added to it yet the carers element has. Just out a note to case manager asking to escalate. I escalated mine last week but still got nowhere

Thank you for letting me know. Also I know that until your child is verified they won't add disabled child element, well that's what I've been told my my case worker but even tho my child has been verified my statement still hasn't been adjusted and child element hasn't been added xx

It really is a slow process, on the 25/4 I got a journal message to say it’s been verified just verifying people who live with you. Now when I’ve been asking they are saying it’s not verified 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m so confused about the verified bit and it seems like they don’t even know either lol x

So if carers element has been added then surely all had to be verified 🤔 otherwise it wouldn't make any sense as to why was carers element added if there's no verification of who you caring for ? 🤦‍♀️

This is what I called and said this morning as it doesn’t add up 🙄 I just got told on the phone they can’t do anything to help just put another message to case manager 🤦🏻‍♀️

Definitely useless 😒 we'll I suppose all we can do is just nag until its done

Put a complaint in I put a complaint form in on Saturday so hoping it speeds it up this week

i made the change April 4th and it took nearly 3 weeks for verification and Iv been waiting 3 weeks for decision maker so far

oh My I won’t hold my breath I’ll be anytime soon 🤦🏻‍♀️ surely they can’t make you wait any longer. Hopefully the complaint will speed things up

I’m hoping so but I doubt it bet they come back with “it will be made in due course time “
