DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10)

Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

I called up Monday and got told it's now going to be 16-18weeks but yep today it's been assigned to a dm. So hopefully not long until i get a decision. Good luck all xxx

Hi all just a update just got off the phone scan date 14th March and been told my clam has gone to dm today nerves going into overdrive now will update when I receive the decision good luck to everyone waiting.

Spoke to them today. Scan date 24th march have been told won't be till the end of July to get an answer.. So 18 weeks.. 😓

I'm 29th of March I rang 2 days ago they said 16 weeks lol 😆. I don't think they have any clue what they are doing. I'm on week 13 getting very impatient. For them to turn around and say no.

My scan date is the 31st March so another few weeks yet. I have however seen people from 29th and 30th March be awarded on the page I joined on Facebook so I don’t know if it actually goes in date order xxx

I’ve just called and been told currently 15 week wait. I’m 15 weeks on Tuesday (scan date 21/03) - she couldn’t tell me if it will be looked at next week though

My scan date is 20th March (15 weeks on Monday) and I’ve just spoke to them they said upto date times are 15-16 weeks so she thinks I’m really close to go to the decision makers now but I’ve seen on the Facebook page people with scan dates after mine being accepted so I’m not sure what order they do it in. Just hoping for some good news 🙏🏼 Xx

I rang yesterday scan date 24/03. Told me it would be end of July so about 18weeks 😓

Hi all I called yesterday was told it with a decision maker but am getting a letter sent out about being a appointe the lady said on the phone does any one know is this a bad or good sign my stress is in over drive today.

So did they not say if you'd been accepted?

No the lady said its with a decision maker thay are sending out s letter about being my Daughters appointe so not a no or a yes will hold out to Monday before call again for a update.

I have a scan date march 24th it seems they are working dates 18th to 19th of march but saying end of July surly it can't take a month just to work 6-8 days of claims surly

I have the same date and they told me end of July too 😓😓

Hay sorry to jump on. I've rang today my sons scan date is the 29th of March so just over 13 weeks they said I was close and have just about 2 weeks and I will have a decision. Also they are working over the weekends to catch up so you could get your decision on a weekend. x

Hi all, my scan date is also 24th of March and when I rang this afternoon they told me I should hear by the 10th of July and it should be looked at next week. Maybe the time it takes for a claim to be looked at depends on the decision maker it is assigned too? 🤷‍♀️ Could be all sorts of factors involved though!

16th scan date been awarded.

A lady on another thread has had her 17th March scan date awarded. Seems like they're trying to catch up 🤞🏽

Thank you so much forever ones help etc. I'm over the moon my child has now been awarded the help he needs.
