DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10)

Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

Hello lovely’s! I’m 2 and a half weeks away! Every time I have rang they have said 15 weeks and will have a decision middle of July 🫣! Soo close to the end but so nervous 😬

29 march scan date hopping to hear something soon! looks like by this they’re still on beginning of march

I think there on 13th/14th March I’ve seen a couple of people get accepted with these scan dates so hopefully not much longer 🙏🏼 Xxx

I'm 14th March they told Me I'd hear second week of July x

Hey! I just got through to a lovely lady and I’m 14&a half weeks since scan date the date is 20th March and she said they get an update on times every 2 weeks on a Monday and that claims are now taking 15 weeks to get to a decision maker she said that my claim is due to go to the decision maker on Monday 3rd xxx

Ah brilliant I may try ringing next week at some point then fingers crossed for you too xx

How do I know what my scan date is? They received our application on 10.3.23 and had a letter today about being an appointee but no decision.

Also I’ve tried to phone but on hold for approx half an hour.

it takes about 1 hour / 1 hour and 20 to get through normally it took me agers today! But I think that will be your scan date the date they received the forms xxx

On other threads many people from your scan date have had their decision already. Also that letter about being an appointee, I received that 'after' I was awarded. So I wonder if you've been awarded and just don't know yet due to not receiving a text or letter confirmation

That sounds like you have been awarded I had a letter on Monday but got a text last Wednesday saying my daughter has been awarded.

i was thinking that as the letter received today reads a bit like we have already been awarded?
Is there an email address to contact them does anyone know?

My scan date was 13/03/23 I'm going onto week 16 as of Monday and I've still go nothing I phoned last week and they said I'm still looking at another week to 10days for decision and then wait for payment if accepted 🙃

Good grief that is mad! I will still have a while to wait then .It is crazy😩. Hope it is quicker than what they said for you.

Hi all scan date 14th March just called he got awarded 2 days ago hrc no mobility as his under 5 but I'm happy with that 😊

Ah congratulations 🎉 must be a massive relief after that horrible wait. My scan date 20th march hopefully not much longer wait is killing me x

Brilliant news, im scan date 16th so fingers crossed I'm not far behind xxx

I'd give them a call tomorrow might even of been awarded 😀

Couldn't help it and called up ahha, mines now with a decision maker xxx

Haha brilliant if it helps, I called Monday, and they said 16 week wait then called today and said The decision was made Tuesday x
