Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

Thanks

My dd scan date was the 22/03/23 and I just received £1599.95 in my account today. No text not letter. Just worked out she’s receiving the higher rate. Good luck everyone!

Hey ladies. I'm the 5th off April I'm just trying to get through now. Any updates I'll keep use posted.

LannieO · 11/07/2023 10:27

Hi everyone, have been lurking for a while but first time posting. I’m completely new to the DLA claim for my teenage daughter. Scan date 28th April (week 11 on Friday) they have received some more supporting evidence (CAMHS report and the neurodevelopment team waiting list letter via CAMHS too). I have had 2 letters to say sorry for delay and one text 11 days ago to say they are still looking and will contact me with a decision.
can I ask, do you think CAMHS reports are a good supporting document, it outlines the struggles she’s been going through.
TIA xx

anyone had any news for around 29/03 going to ring friday for an update

Lianney84 · 11/07/2023 11:03

When you think your almost there for them to answer 42 mins into the call and it's goes dead 😱😭.. its like the pick up and put it back down. Like I've got hours off the day to call them NOT. It's a joke. Second time this has happened now in a week I give up. And hope for the best as I'm on week 14 as off tomorrow

I’m 21st March and still waiting. Although they told me yesterday that it had gone to a decision maker so there is finally progress at least l.

Latest update from me - scan date 21/03 - still with a DM, “call again if you don’t hear anything within the next 2 weeks” 😭

3mummy3 · 11/07/2023 12:43

Hello, I done a new claim for my daughter who is also under camhs I just explained on the form what support she needs and how it affects and then the camhs assesment to say that she is going to get support for anxiety. I think what ever results we get depends on the dm. Good luck, my scan date is beginning of May so I'm not expecting to hear anything until August and most likely September time.

Wow!!! What a joke. Are they going through it a sentence at a time.

Catsandcupcakes · 11/07/2023 12:59

@Heartmum21 congratulations

MammaLBlue · 11/07/2023 12:59

I rang yesterday .. I’m 3rd April they said I’m looking at till the 26th July for a decision as takes 15 and a half weeks before they even look at it. Yet they change the dates all the time 😕

I am hoping they just say that just to try and stop people phoning every day. It’s not going to stop me from phoning every day though 😂

Lo89 · 11/07/2023 13:26

@nic00000 I'm 29th still waiting I haven't called though

GG89 · 11/07/2023 14:02

Little positive for 24th march claims.
Just called, waited 1hour 5mins roughly to get through but finally been assigned to a Dm. Was told should have a decision within a couple days.

barelyfunctional · 11/07/2023 14:28

Haven’t heard anything yet for two claims, scan dates 23rd and 24th March. Can’t be much longer now surely!

Pauldavo · 11/07/2023 14:41
