DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10)

Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

I just called 21st March scan date - so I am on 15 weeks and 3 days - and it’s still not with a decision maker. The woman assured me that claims are dealt with in date order, which is clearly rubbish and not what happens at all 🙄

I can’t believe u haven’t been awarded yet your literally the day after my scan date. I was awarded Tuesday. I would ring again this afternoon because I rang on the Monday and it wasn’t even with a decision maker and by Tuesday I was awarded x

Hi all, new claim and my scan date was 23/06/23. My son is 4 and Is on waiting list to be assessed for ASD, his assessment will be completed in the next 2 months… he has special needs support at school and they have put him for speech therapy also. In my claim form I included a report from our GP and also his senco team at school filled in the section on the DLA form. Both said he needs constant supervision as he has no sense of danger and he awakes all throughout night and struggles to sleep on top of sensory issues and more. Does anybody have any similar experience? I am wondering if I have sent enough evidence . Thank you ❤️

Rang this morning for update got threw straight away surprisingly Still waiting on decision been in DM pile since wed morning hopefully not too long now the man on phone was lovely saying a decision should be made by week 16 but they all seem say different times my scan date is 21/3 .... My son doesn't have diagnosis yet and I didn't send much evidence either just snap V form teachers had filled in for cahms, his adhd pathway acceptance form and statement of my friend whose also helps out now and then hoping it's enough xx

Bet we spoke to the same man this morning he was really nice. Mine is still on the wait pile 24th march x

I literally just sent a copy of my little girls letter to say she was put in the pathway and got to wait for an assessment. Nothing else and I got middle rate care x

Has anyone received there back pay In middle of day or would it just be after midnight 🤔 mine with the DM am checking for text an bank every 10 minutes it's driving me crazy need a new hobby 🙈

I got awarded Tuesday and got the back pay today xx

Hey. I am also 24th march. Called this morning still not with a DM but lady was certain a decision will be made by friday next week.

Same scan date, also got told it should go to a decision maker next week and should receive a letter the week after. We shall see 🤔

Seems to be a long wait.
i will give them another call on wednesday.
They did say if awarded you will receive back payment before you receive a letter of award.

I'm late to this! I received a payment from DWP DLA of £1485.20. Sent the form in the beginning of March. Obviously I've had no letter! Do you think this means she's been awarded the middle amount?

I had a payment yesterday no text or letter and had £1800 put in. Scan date was 23rd March

HRC & LRM? congratulations! Hope I'm not far behind! No idea what to expect though or if the claim will even be successful, wish they'd put me out my misery already 😅

I was thinking MRC and LRM but I’m now thinking it could be HRC. So pleased he’s been awarded but I just want the letter so I know. Good luck for yours

I got back dated from 14th to 27th June 1488 that was for High rate care no mobility

Hey 👋 New here. Coming towards the end of this long and tedious wait, scan date April 5th, fingers crossed no more than a week to 2 at the most left. The anxiety of not knowing is unbearable and especially with my son's hours been completely dropped down in nursery, I really hope I've sent enough to get him the help he needs

My scan date was 20th March and I had a payment of £2530 this morning I rang up they said HRM & HRC xxx

I'm the 5th off April also the wait is exhausting 😂. I've only ever rang once to give them new info off my sons new sen school he starts in September and was told I'd hear earliest was beginning off August maybe longer 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ and I rang on week 11 just over 2 weeks ago.
