DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10)

Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

Scan date 21st seen a few have been awarded, just call and its with the DM living on my nerves now ... said it could be anytime upto two weeks ! I thought once it goes to DM it's done straight away ?

I think, if I'm not mistaken, that they go to a decision maker in batches and they work there way through them 🤷‍♀️

I missed out 2 questions ffs. I’ll call tomorrow and see if a decision has been made

@Kyromummy81 ahhh that's so frustrating. Did they ask you answer over the phone instead?

April scan dates have been awarded. Also they are saying March dates are another 3 weeks. I'm 29th of March it's killing me it's 15 weeks next Wednesday. for my son who is high functioning autistic. also with adhd and other things going on. Fingers crossed for everyone xx

Agreed...especially when we're told 12 weeks initially then every phone call they extend the wait time 😤🤯 absolutely joke

I had loads of crap off them the other day. Kept making rubbish up for no reason I've asked for a manager to ring me they said 3 hours to wait its been 2 days and nothing. I'm hoping by next week I get it all sorted xx

I’m April 3rd for my scan date, does that mean I have around 2 more weeks to go?

Don't it's driving me mental!!!! they need to sort this mess out now. I've just seen on the fb group new claims are now 25 weeks. How can april be done before e march and now we've got to wait 25 weeks like wtf!!! xx

I'm not sure really hun but you will probably get a decision before the march dates because to dwp April is before march lol but it is saying up to 25 weeks now 😅 x

No way are they 25 weeks I wouldn't cope! I'm just hoping it gets accepted because I don't think I could take waiting for putting in an MR

How are they approving April new claims If so much of March hasn't been done yet makes no sense that's crazy

Because remember they aren't doing them in date order but they are doing them in date order that's the phone conversation I had with dla the other day whay we think is wrong what they say it's right. xx

I’m April I’m on hold now so I can give a update of April have indeed started as I’m very start of April but honestly can not see it surley not when march is not finished

My scan date is 30th march, I have been told another 2 weeks until I should receive a decision, still not with a dm! I was also told on phone they are still doing claims from February. 😬

Hopefully it will all get sorted for everyone fingers crossed for you all. Keep updated when you get a decision x

The fella said they would send me a text as soon as the decision is made 🙈 twitchy bum time 🤣

Mine was with the decision maker last Thursday afternoon and then I phoned Friday. Over something and she told me it was awarded Friday morning and then I got my back pay today. But I’ve not had no txt or letter as of yet so if phone again tomorow or Monday if I was you and I get a decision has been made already xx
