DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10)

Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

@Mumof4boy I'm 24th march and they told me end of July if that helps. It's very stressful waiting I hope its soon for you hun. @Mummyto4boysx sorry for random accidentally tagging you above 🙈🙈

I’m the 14th March scan date . Phoned up last Wednesday and was told it had just only been received by the DM so they will send a letter this week. I’m going to phone this morning and I’ll update use all. X

Scan date 20th march. 15 weeks today. On hold now for an update 🤞 will update you in a few hours no doubt 🤣

My scan date is 20th March too! 15 weeks today for us too I’m also on hold! Fingers crossed it’s not a 1 hour wait 😆 will also update you once I’ve spoke to them! Good luck xxx

Just got off the phone and he said they haven’t made a decision yet. That new claims are taking around 16 weeks. He said you should have a decision in about 2 weeks 😭. Hope you’ve had some luck xx

Is it with a decision maker but the decision hasn’t been made yet? Because when I spoke to a lovely lady on Friday she said that as soon as it’s with the DM they normally make the decision the same day so if it is I would still phone back tomorrow, so stressful!! I’m still on hold 50 mins later 😆 xx

Ah I didn’t even ask 🙈 il call up again tomorrow and ask they all seem to say different stuff but always say longer to cover their back. He did say they will send a letter out and also a text but reading the comments not many people have had a text and letters are always delayed xx

Hi just got off the phone been awarded high rate care am so glad the wait is over my scan date was the 14th March good luck to everyone who is still waiting and thay get the result their children deserve

Just got off the phone. The guy said the same to me it isn’t with a DM it’s waiting to be allocated to a DM said it should be in the next week 🙃 fingers crossed! Sick to death of the wait now xx

I’ve just got off the phone I was awarded on Friday to middle rate care component but didn’t say anything about mobility but did say the DM is still working on it with my back pay. Can you get one component without the other ? Xx

Oh really, my daughter has mobility needs which is confusing but I’ll see when I receive my letter x

I have recieved a letter (about 3 weeks ago) stating our claim is still being looked at and today recieved a text, how much longer do you think it will take?

When was your scan date ? I only got awarded Friday last week from beginning of March x

Oh I probably have a while to wait then, mine is mid April x

I'm on hold now keeping everything crossed they have some sort of update for me x

what’s dates your scan date? 29th march for me, said end of july

I phoned today and they haven’t even looked at my claim my date stamp is 10th march

Mine scna date is the 13th of March

Well I was on hold for over an hour and no one answered and now their closed 🤣 I'll try again tomorrow lol

My scan date is the 5th April had a message today saying there still looking g at the claim

Im currently waiting on an MR. Six month wait for a CoC that wasn’t found in his favour, exhausting. It arrived yesterday, I was told they’re taking 5 weeks - anyone know if this is correct?

For others waiting, I rang the morning my sons CoC was awarded and at the time it wasn’t with the DM. By the end of the day it was seen and had a decision made, so if your date is close to the end it could literally be any hour.
