DLA wait times August 2022

Hi all,
Just following on from the previous thread - apologies if anyone else has already started one.
Sent our renewal claim in, scan date middle of May.
Phoned on Thursday and was told that our claim had been renewed on 18 August, awarded the same as previous - HRC and LRM. Such a relief for it to be all sorted out.

Hi lovlies, just joining in as I am seriously anxious at this point. My brain ds DLA form was received on the 4th but they said they scanned it on the 12th (whatever that means) I’ve rang every week for the past 4 weeks to be told different things and reading this I saw another mum who’s form was scanned after mine has been awarded it. I just want an answer I’m getting stressed with the wait!! Any luck on anyone hearing back from start of July? Xx

There's a few of us that are still waiting from the end of June.. we've been told they're been looked at this week so I'm presuming they'll be starting the beginning of July next week.

I called this morning. HRC and LRM awarded yesterday, scanned 28th June. I was only expecting middle rate care so I think they’ve taken my child’s nighttime needs seriously!

Hi i just rang dla and there said working on 28 June my scan date is 30 of June there just said other 2 weeks yet that's I'll be 15 weeks

We all have to wait 14 or 15 weeks even more

@legs19 I changed circumstances on Tuesday, someone called me Wednesday to confirm everything and I'm now waiting for them to authorise payment x

I haven’t heard yet and I am 1st July. They said should be next week on Friday. The wait is endless!

My daughters forms were scanned 29th June and today Saturday,I have just received a text.

"A decision has been made on your Disability Living Allowance claim. You'll receive a letter in the next 10 days. You don't need to contact us before then."

Doesn't seem promising to me because others have been told through text that they have been awarded.

Has anybody else recieved this text at all.

I guess keep checking your bank during the 10 days as if you are awarded you'll receive the payment before the letter in most cases

This is the text that I received yesterday..

We've decided your child qualifies for Disability Living Allowance. You don't need to contact us about this. We'll send you a letter with all you need to know. If you don't get this within 2 weeks please contact us.

So I'm thinking it may not be good news 😣 but someone else on here might be more knowledgeable than me. Sorry x

It's good you told me because it may be that my daughter hasn't been awarded, or it may be that each DM words the text messages differently. I'm more towards the "not awarded". Oh well MR lol

Nope. Just called them and they said to keep an eye on my journal as its literally just waiting for authorisation x

Just to let u all know... once you are awarded dla and inform universal credit you may also be entitled to a change of circumstance loan too as I've just got one. And don't forget to ask for your disabled child element to be backdated to the award date x
