Thank you for the new thread.

I will be anxiously counting down to 14 June, with the 9 week - supposed! - turnaround time!

I'm not going to ring though. Unless I should, just to make sure it didn't go missing after being signed for! 🤔

whitwoochantelle · 19/04/2022 19:14

I sent extra thing in by post signed for these been signed but not scanned he said they can take a few weeks to scan???

MiskaEliska · 19/04/2022 21:25

Hello :-) our form was received on the 22 Feb and we are still waiting. We have received the apologising letter today, to say it is taling longer than expected.
My little one will be 3 in May and doesn’t walk at all. She is even unable to stand up or stand. We filled in the mobility part as well. Is there any chance we will get something? Any experience? Thanks a lot and fingers crossed for everyone :-)

Momof2soonmomto3 · 20/04/2022 05:16

I also filled in the mobility part and I have heard unless they are entitled to high rate mobility they can get it at 3 but low rate is 5, sorry if I can't help more then that x

We did hear back we got declined, with the feed back been hes 2 pretty much. My son has a 1:1 at nursery for his safety, head banging and self harming behaviour. Has never responded to his name or any simple instruction ever. But he's 2 so no help needed cause we havnt seen any one bar the health visitor yet cause there over 6 months waits on everything. Have put in for mandatory reconsideration but not feeling hopeful.

Momof2soonmomto3 · 20/04/2022 06:20

@RobynC19 is he nearly 3? Or lower end of 2? I hear Its hard to get disability for a child under 3 as they all need a lot of care 🙄 I'd keep hassling for doctors etc to see him and hopefully you can get the ball moving faster and then reapply once you get some answers if the consideration doesn't work xx

I am just doing my renewal which runs out may so I’ve left it very late as have struggled to find the time to complete. I know they’ll be a gap but I think it gets backdated to when they received so I shouldn’t miss out money wise overall assuming it goes through. I was awarded middle rate car and Lower rate mobility for ds 4 years ago without any fight, he was in mainstream then and is now in a special school and is a lot more harder than a typical kid his age than the gap was when I applied before, hoping this means it will be renewed without a fight

FishFingerSandwiches4Tea · 20/04/2022 07:02

There seems to be nobrhyme or reason to how long it takes. I'm in a fb group where someone sent forms 5th April and got a text confirming their award yesterday 🤷‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 20/04/2022 07:29

I wonder if it's based on postcode, and depends how up-to-date that person / team is?

My MiL's friend heard in about a month for her son recently. Two weeks would be excellent!

Ltb17 · 20/04/2022 07:39

I'm now on week 18 waiting to hear about change of circumstances. Been told could be 20 weeks wait.
Also have a new claim in for my other child, his forms were received 23rd March.

GemJamz · 20/04/2022 07:49

Hello. I’m waiting on a renewal for my youngest. Sent forms on 10th March for my youngest and it was a 6 week turn around for my eldest recently. As we are approaching the 6 week mark for the youngest, I don’t think there is enough time to send our latest evidence by post which is an approval for a blue badge following a 1-2-1 assessment.

Does anyone have an email address to send an update rather than by post? I’m thinking I might just have to call them to note the change on her application. Ta muchly for any advice x

Twinmummyanda6yearold · 20/04/2022 08:21

Thank you for the new thread, my scan date was April 12th so a long wait until June yet😩 but just like to follow to pass the time on 😊 good luck to everyone, hope everyone has positive news 🤞🏼

GemJamz · 20/04/2022 08:23

@MiskaEliska Hi, just reading your post regarding the mobility award. My eldest was awarded High Rate Care and High Rate Mobility when she was 3. It is possible. My eldest is now 12 and still receives these rates.

2fruitcakekids · 20/04/2022 08:34

I’m looking at another 4/5 week wait. My little boy is 2.5. If he was entitled to mobility which I’m hoping he would as he can’t go out unless the weather is completely dry. Does that mean I’ll have to go this all again when he’s 3?? Please no

nurodivergantparent · 20/04/2022 08:40

Hey everyone, long time stalker first time poster here. I was following the last thread and jumped on this one when I saw it. Our scan date was Feb 14th, we received the 'no decision yet' letter on the 8th dated 1st. I'm trying to pluck up the courage to call to let them know my son was granted his ehcp but I'm scared to call in case they say he's been denied. My anxiety is through the roof.

Momof2soonmomto3 · 20/04/2022 09:30

@nurodivergantparent mine scanned 18th Feb and with decision maker so I should imagine it would be worth you giving them a call, you may just be surprised x

Hey ladies so I just had a phone call the most nerve racking phone call ever asking for some more info about school guessing as I didn’t send any info about school so guessing it was the decision maker I’m so anxious I really hope we get the extra help we need!

mine was sent off in February scanned on the 15th 😬

GemJamz · 20/04/2022 10:09

Looks as though I called just in time to inform them of the blue badge success as it’s with the decision maker. So nervous now!

Marzal · 20/04/2022 10:10

Fingers crossed!!

Momof2soonmomto3 · 20/04/2022 11:30

Can you give more information over the phone or does it have to be in writing?

Spacemonkey2016 · 20/04/2022 11:48

I finally managed to get through. Form stamped on 16th Feb, they said new claims are taking up to 11 weeks and it's not even with a decision maker yet. That I should hear by May. Ugh.

nurodivergantparent · 20/04/2022 12:16

@momof2soonmomof3 I've just got off the phone to them, I can't believe it a decision was made on the 15th. He's been awarded MRC and LRM untill 2028. I'm so happy, I can finally buy all the things my boy needs. Good luck everyone I have my 🤞 for you all ❤️

Clairewright010 · 20/04/2022 13:20

Has anyone tried calling today?
the I hold music cuts off at 15.06 mins, but not the call. I’ve rung 3 times now, currently sat seeing if it’s just the on hold message that’s the problem?!
(form scanned on 8th feb was with decision maker last Monday)

Momof2soonmomto3 · 20/04/2022 14:13

@nurodivergantparent had a good feeling for you today, don't know why :) so happy the wait is finally over for you and your boy x

Momof2soonmomto3 · 20/04/2022 14:14
