How long did people have to wait for a decision once it was with the decision maker?

Lisamarie90 · 25/04/2022 09:17

Currently on hold to DLA! Week 9 now, hope they have an update for me 😭😭😞😞 my anxiety can't take no more. Xx

Lisamarie90 · 25/04/2022 09:33

Just got off the phone. They are currently working on claims upto 21st February. My scan date was 22nd February 🤦🏻‍♀️ so mines still in the holding queue. been advised to call again on Friday. Xx

Ltb17 · 25/04/2022 10:53

@Lisamarie90 how long were you on hold for? Dunno if I can bring myself to call and wait but I'm at almost 19 weeks of waiting for a decision now. Hopefully you have yours soon

Mum1122 · 25/04/2022 11:23

Hi I’ve been following this trend for a while mine was scanned 28th feb any one with the same date been awarded ?

Lisamarie90 · 25/04/2022 11:41

@Ltb17 I called just after 9am and was on hold for about 20mins. Wow that's a long time. Is that a change of circumstances or new claim. Mines a new claim. X

Ltb17 · 25/04/2022 12:11

Thank you. Yeah it's a change of circumstances, you'd think they would be quicker as they already have all their details lol

Marzal · 25/04/2022 12:17

i am so so happy we’ve been awarded HRC I’m over the moon! I called this morning as was with DM last week and haven’t heard anything and they told me over the phone, I’ve made a COC on UC can I apply for carers allowance also? Is the process long?

good luck everyone else applying xx

Ltb17 · 25/04/2022 12:18

@Marzal congrats, you can apply for caters allowance online, it's quick and easy, my claim for caters took 8 weeks but they will backdate it for you.

Nicky80catri · 25/04/2022 12:37

@Marzal congratulations. When did you first apply if you don't mind me asking x

Marzal · 25/04/2022 12:40

@Nicky80catri thank you! I first applied beginning of feb scan date was the 15th of feb DM called me last Tuesday to ask about school needs and decision was made that day xx

Nicky80catri · 25/04/2022 12:43

@Marzal brilliant thanks mine should be done soon then. Xxx

Lisamarie90 · 25/04/2022 12:44

@Momof2soonmomto3 Great news.
My Son's DLA forms were scanned on 17th February.
I've called them today to check progress. I've been told my decision is imminent. Forms are at the top of the decision maker's pile.
Eekk!

Momof2soonmomto3 · 25/04/2022 14:37
