@AReallyUsefulEngine thank you this helps a lot, I do have chikd benefit for him but I cant find a letter with the number on or anything of the likes as it's been such a long time since I received one, however is this the reference number you mean that I would add on all sending evidence? This is the letter I received to tell me they got my initial DLA claim

When you send more evidence out whilst waiting for a claim, will they let you know rhey got the extra evidence like they did when they received rhe initial claim? Or should I just send it tracked? I'm really clueless to all of this

@Melb1986 I rang them earlier still no decision. Guy on the phone said it could take 4 weeks to get a decision.,. Madness x

I rang them again today (claim received by them on 2nd February) and was told, again, that they would highlight it and it would hopefully now be dealt with rapidly. I'm not holding my breath.

@Mamto2boys they don’t generally acknowledge further information in my experience. If you don’t want to send it recorded delivery you could call to check they receive it and resend if they don’t.

@AReallyUsefulEngine I've spent most of the fay sorting through my evidence and whittling it down to the most important ones ilas I don't want to send in stuff they won't look at, scanned and printed them all off and typed up a cover letter and tou mean to tell me in your experience they don't acknowledge it? Then what's the point? 😅

HAS ANYONE SENT IN EVIDENCE LATER THAN THEY SENT BACK THE ORIGINAL CLAIM BEFORE A DECISION?! EXPERIENCES PLEASE? IS IT TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION AT ALL?

Thanks 😂 😊

AReallyUsefulEngine · 27/05/2022 20:39

@Mamto2boys Sorry, I didn’t mean they don’t look at it, but that they don’t send an acknowledgement letter/text when they receive it to let you know they have.

Report
Scanner20 · 27/05/2022 20:40

@Mamto2boys I sent off some extra evidence in normal post, when I called yesterday he said the extra evidence has been scanned. You don't receive an acknowledgment letter for extra evidence received.
I'd send it in for sure, you've gone to all the effort.

Mamto2boys · 27/05/2022 21:20

Thanks guys that's put my mind at ease a little, I'll get it sent off in the morning!

Hi everyone, I've been following this thread.
I posted my son's change of circumstances on 12th Jan 2022.It was scanned on the 18th of Jan.Recieved an acknowledgement letter on the 25th of Jan.
Gone through what most people have gone through here, waiting, being given different answers when I would call.
After 19 weeks I called on Wednesday 25th May and I was told no decision had made done.
I called again yesterday Thursday 26th May and was told had been awarded HRC from middle rate but mobility stayed same on LRM.
So I updated Uc.Still waiting for payment.
I hope I encourage any one waiting.
