Hi All,

I have ASD 2 years old boy and i sent DLA form for him in 7 dec 2021. But I haven’t received any news yet. How long is usually you get awarded?

The thing is i want to put my son in 2 years old nursery but i’m not eligible for 2 years old funding. I found the nursery that i like and my son can start there after easter but they want funding from the government.

There are another way to get funded by government is via DLA. I need to get the DLA first then i can apply for funding 2 years old in nursery. Do you know how is the process for apply funding 2 years old through DLA route??

Thank you

The DWP are absolutely the worst organisation that ever existed. I waited 8 months before I had a decision off them for my ds, albeit that was 2 years ago. I sent off his renewal a month ago and don't expect to heat back anytime soon. The good news is, that they will ba k date to the date they recieved the form.

I sent my forms off at the beginning of April but haven't received an acknowledgement letter - or that they've been received or scanned.
Did anyone else get a letter to say the forms had been received?
Thanks x

@Tinkerbellone I sent mine off 11th April, they were signed for the 12th and I had an acknowledgment letter the 23rd (dated the 18th) I'd just give them a call to put your mind at rest so you know they've been scanned 😊
